It's Thursday! It's mid-afternoon in London! It's another wrongheaded morning in Mericky! It's who-the-fuck-knows-when in Australia! It's time for more Crossed Hideosity!

    Episode 53, live and free-to-air.

Remember: Not safe for work, not safe for minors, not safe for people of a nervous disposition, not safe for Kingsley, not safe for compton, not safe for Piccolo.

....why do I have a suspicion that the big Captain's quest for oil has something to do with an oceans-wide mass extermination of the Crossed?

....and that in a weird way it would turn out to be a potentially bad thing?

....I mean, Shaky would have to be opposed to it, wouldn't he, given that his wife thinks the Crossed are just lost children? And if it would mean the death of Theresa?

....and what is wrong with me that I keep identifying with Jackson when he shows up!

Holy shit, did not expect the return of Jackson. But he is, of course, always welcome. When I saw the big lump covered by the tarp in his boat, my first thought was seline, but then I thought, no way. When it turned out to be her, now I am filled with fear and apprehension. Gotta be a trap of some kind.

Clay loan...ex....Time and place. What does it all mean?!?!?!? Simon, u are one of the best to write in the crossed universe. I always say its between Si and Garth but i'm willing to bet that after WYWH is done you will be the king of Crossed. Thanks for all the great work. As for Seline being a trap, doubt it. But i know she carries some info that the others would like to hear.

It wouldn't surprise me if Seline is up the duff too. With a Black Watch rape babby. And Jackson is in love with her, and slightly pissed off at Shaky for the debacle at the Castle. We'll just have to see how it pans out. I was looking forward to some expansion on Rab's character, and his relationship with Jackson. And it looks like that's on the cards. There's a whole other story arc lurking there, I'll bet. And Mr Gwalchmai, I'm honestly not Si's evil alter, spicing up the forum with spurious mis-info. (But then, I would say that, wouldn't I?)

Yeah, now that I think on it, it would be hard to believe that Seline was left there as a trap. How would the Nun know that Jackson or anyone else would happen to show up. But my god, I'll be she has a story. If she is not completely insane and incapable of telling it. And the cryptic babbling - Clay loan. ex. Time and place. There hasn't been anything wasted in WYWH, so this has to mean something. I would think that it is some kind of imperfectly said statement, like "I. M. Sofa king. Retarded".

Fwiw, Clay Loan is a street in the Orkney's not too far from Cava, according to google maps. Sounds like someone wants a meeting.

I just typed up an articulate, fairly lengthy but not too lengthy comment and then clicked the "add comment" button only to realize that my log-in had expired and now my comment is lost forever. So now you get this half-assed paraphrasing:

Anyone else shocked that Seline hasn't turned crossed? Despite being protected by a mindful, plotting alpha crossed, I think that being in such close proximity with a tribe of cannibalistic rape murderers for such a long time is pretty much a guarantee that you will somehow come in contact with a drop of infected blood, feces, or other bodily fluid. Just saying. I feel the same way about the recent Badlands Arc featuring Smoky and the tubby traitorous fucker.

I'm probably being an overly meticulous, little picture, anal retentive, detail picking fanboy here. I should prob just sit back and enjoy the fiction, eh? The Badlands arc is actually one of my favorites, regardless. And of course... WYWH is a masterpiece, Si. Keep 'em coming. I'm digging how the Crossed universe is evolving.

Yeah, that Christos Gage story has been excellent. And I had the same thought - there are scenes where the eponymous Quisling is sitting there writing in his journal or laying in a sleeping bag right in the middle of a Crossed horde having a blood orgy. I had the same objection when people were speculating that the Nun is not Crossed. But you gotta have some artistic license and this is not such a horrible case lol.
  5.  (11113.17)
    Aye.

Though it made me curious about perhaps an immunity that builds up over time within the uncrossed survivors. For instance... If one were to catch a heaping tablespoon of crossed fluid in an orifice or open wound, then yes of course they would turn crossed. But surely immune system health and genetics have to be considered in a virus or bacteria pandemic. It seems everyone has a different reaction to the less invasive surface-only skin contact with the virus. There was that one fella (from Jasper's old crew) that allegedly only got the flu after being vomited on by a plussie and fully recovered.... only to be hadouken'd from across a river -- haha. I loved that moment. But then in other instances, a single drop of blood on the skin could cause someone to cross over in a matter of seconds. Very curious. Seems very case-to-case.

Again, this is me being a scrupulous bastard. I believe artistic license is likely the case and I can gladly accept that, but it's a lot of fun to analyze such things... for me anyway.

Don't forget about when Shaky was walking around London's blood-soaked streets in his bare feet. It must be artistic license.

Not really related to this chapter, but something I noticed with Tabitha's boyfriend. If his friends hadn't killed him when they did he probably would've ended up a smart crossed like Smokey, the Twins, or Horsecock. I mean he had patience, and when a crossed has patience bad things happen.

@BadBeast- Rab and Jacksons relationship was expanded on in the Crossed Annual.
