You have been hired to be the art side of a reimagining of LITTLE BOY BLUE AND THE BLUE BOYS, a comic that ran from 1942-1948 in Sensation Comics. The writer, of course, is in her hovel crying trying to make the story "perfect". While she's tweaking the script for the millionth time, she hands you the following description of the comic:

Tommy Rogers, the son of the District Attorney, overhears his father talking about the trouble he's having with criminals. Tommy gets together with his friends Tubby and Toughy, and they put on costumes and fight crime as Little Boy Blue and the Blue Boys. Little Boy Blue has no superpowers. Most of the criminals he fights are ordinary, but some are name criminals: the counterfeiter the Scorpion, the Flare, who uses a “pyro-pistol,” and the lupine crimelord Wolf Lupo. Little Boy Blue and the Blue Boys appear in stories with titles like “The Letter of Slug Ginnis,” “Reggie, the Mystery Kid,” and “Pies, Spies and Alibis.”

There you go. A DA's son and his two friends wanting to take the law in to their own hands.

    Go.

    THE RULES:

This is for ART ONLY. Any pen-portraits, or crappy scribbles padded-out with words, will cause a deployment of the newly-trained Urethral Attack Maggot/Arse Eel hybrid. And a banned account.

No stock-photo manipulation. No half-arsed bollocks. Anything deemed to be piss-takery will be nuked from orbit. Original photography is fine.

No more than ONE submission by any one person.

NOTE: I'm going to be a little vague on the deadline because I want to see as many entries here as possible. You have my promise though, that future R/R's will be a lot of fun.

Also 4-6 entries I like will be sent off to Bleeding Cool.

How about Little Miss Redhead? I looked up LBB and found she was another member of the team.

Is that our first gif R/R entry? I feel like there has to have been one before now, but I can't think of any.

"Wrong" and "too soon". I love it.

Hoodies do seem to be in the air....

So... how old was Tommy Rogers supposed to be? Oh well, I'm sure that him being an adult will allay any concerns about the well-being of Tubby and Toughy. ;)

By the way, this is my first piece done with Manga Studio 5. I've been using MS4 for years now, but now that the the full "EX" version of MS5 is out, I'm putting it thru its paces, preparing to switch over to it. So far, so good.

I think the original Tommy Rogers was 20-12 years old. But we are remaking here.
