Oh, I don't think I posted this... this is a bit of a retro-SPIT from the spring, when me and the cats were waiting for the Adventure Girl to come back home from adventures in France.

@dorkmuffin: You are so pretty, it's almost not fair.

As for me, an attempt at self-portraiture from a camera phone, because I finally got a new phone. Which I promptly threw a filter on to hide the fact that I didn't actually look that great in the photo.

(Also, because I don't have an instagram, and can't decide if I want to have one yet.)

Yay! Me and the fellow were on Humans of New York!

(Evidently we look like Susan Sarandon and Lenny Kravitz, so say the strangers on Facebook.)

I fucking love that blog—not because he's the most amazing photographer (he's alright) but because he KNOWS WHO TO SHOOT and WHAT TO ASK THEM.

    And TRINI STOPPIT I'M BLUSHINGGGGGGGG

@Rachel Tyrell did your fella ever live in London? Reminds me of someone...
  3.  (11132.28)
Indeed he did. Do you recognize him from Orbital, or something?

Bottom braces on this morning. They're manageable, though a little uncomfortable. Top ones to follow, and they will be WAY more obvious, but it could be way, way worse.

Vorn: I have never seen a human make puppy eyes quite the way you do.
Fox: Oh man, I can't believe I missed you guys! I usually keep a pretty good eye on HoNY. You both look amazing, incidentally.
Dorkmuffin: You look sooo happy to be here with those braces :p
Chris: That might be the perfect density/length of scruff for you, man. Does proper goodness to your jaw and chin!

I think I technically took this in July, but it looks a hell of a lot better than any picture I've taken this month, and I haven't gotten that many new wrinkles and warts.

Alan - thanks, yeah density, that's the word. about 3 day scruff. I let it get up to 5 days this week and it was a bit much and the white scruff becomes more prominent urgh

My beard went almost 50% gray in the past six months.

First person to use the word "distinguished" gets suplexed into the Spanish announce table. Only guys with hair get distinguished. Bald guys just look old.

Reading a short story at the Edinburgh Book Festival with musicians John Lemke and Poppy Ackroyd. That was a wonderful evening.
