    Haven't done much lately that I can show anyone, except for this guy. Brushpen and digital colors.

    I wanted to try making one of those slideshow panel-to-panel comics that seem to be all the rage. It's only four pages long, but I thought I'd share anyway. You can download the thing as a CBZ here.

    This is probably the best place for this. Grayson Perry is doing this year's Reith Lectures for the BBC, talking about what validates something as 'art'. The other three parts will be posted over the next three Tuesdays.

    @Hey Apathy! I'm so bummed I didn't make it to your show! And then I saw the video and am DOUBLY sad! SO AMAZING!!! Charles and I would have LOVED to see your gallery in person!

    @iaviv - I like all the stuff going on in that picture. I like how the evil looking dragon/demon thing in the hole image kind of mirrors the shape of the plant creature coming out of the dogs dish at the bottom.

    this is a small portion of a work in progress

    @imaginarypeople - Thanks!
    Can't wait to see that drawing all finished. It looks amazing already. Jesus. Impressive detail as always.

    Here's something I don't have time to finish today. Pencils (done with HB pencil and a cheap pen for some corrections) and digital ink, awaiting digital color.

    @ kperkins;
    That ink works in the mood and I adore that Blade Runner piece.

    @ Alberto;
    I really dig all the highlights and details in those panels. Wonderful work.

    @ chris g;
    That West Bats gone Day of the Dead is so much fun.

    @ mojokingbee;
    That '87 flick wishes it was as energetic as THAT.

    @jackcrowder - Damn, those are nice. You have such a delicate line, which I love.
    @iaviv - I like how that turned out. Always good to see a bit of process.
    @mojokingbee - Tight as always. You nailed that expression.

    Fantastic work all round.
    Here's my new animated loop for LoopDeLoop, Hallucination theme. Don't forget to vote!

    And some concept art for it that I inked because it's inktober:

    And a card for my friend's birthday. He's rather fond of rum, karaoke and corduroy*.

    Hey Whitechappelians, I think you might dig this... Even if you just saw it in another thread! : )
    Jane Irwin (my talented and lovely wife) has just launched her Kickstarter campaign for the publication of her newest graphic novel, CLOCKWORK GAME. It's a massive historical fiction work chronicling the life of "The Turk", a mechanical marvel that played chess against the best players in the world and confounded audiences for nearly 80 years as to how a machine could accomplish this astounding feat. Jane has done a ton of research work on this project, and worked for nearly 5 years to bring this story to life. And it looks terrific!

    Now she's looking to you to help bring this epic work to publication. Follow the link below to find her newly started Kickstarter campaign page, watch the video, and help support this amazing project. I'm proud of her work on this book, and I think you'll agree it's a major step up in Jane's storytelling and artwork abilities, and a story that will amaze and engage comics fans and first time readers alike. You may remember Jane from her first two graphic novels, VOGELEIN: CLOCKWORK FAIRY and VOGELEIN: OLD GHOSTS.

    Enjoy your first look at CLOCKWORK GAME! It's your move. And please; pass the word to friends and fans you know who may like this as well. Thanks for your time!
