Joined... unfortunately, sitting in a hotel room in NYC with a lousy connection right now, so won't be able to play this week.

    Anyhow:

Stanley Parable was great, I love it that you can get the happy ending in 5 minutes and then spend days exploring all the twisted stuff
War Thunder is a (poorly named) free to play WW2 airplane sim which has absorbed far too much of my time
Played Shadowrun Returns and was mildly disappointed with it... story was good (tho short), but the mechanics (especially cybergear) just don't seem right.

Well damn, tried to buy Flabyo's game, but available only in US app store :/

It being a word game I tagged it for English speaking countries only...

I can't afford localisation services at the moment for the app description even if the game does stay English only. Do most apps on the non-English App Store have only English descriptions?

I can quite easily switch it for sale in all territories, might well do that anyway this morning (it takes 24 hours to propagate apparently), but I know some countries have rules about releasing without translation.

    Flabyo:

I'm not sure about actual restrictions in specific regions, but in the Finnish app stores at least it's a rarity to find a Finnish description for anything. People play plenty of word games here, happily in English :)

Ok, I've pushed the button to select it for sale in all territories. Not sure how long that will take before it appears on your app store...

Yay, should be like 3-4 hours :)

Right, been up here for an hour now, tried to drive some people I know who like word games your way :) And "dane/danes" SO is a word! :D

Holy CRAP, my gaming experience went up a notch since getting an xbox controller for my mac yesterday. Played TF2 for about three hours. Lovely. Though I'll be doing an OS update soon, so here's hoping that fixes some of the crap going on. Either way, I think my next console will be a custom Steambox (when I can freakin' afford it).

If anyone else is considering getting a controller for their mac, tattiebogle is an excellent driver, BUT DO NOT download the latest version. Dig around for version 0.08. Apparently a common problem with the new ones is that it won't even recognize the controller when plugged in and the developer didn't bother including uninstall instructions. I had to dig around for it and work in Terminal to make sure it was all completely gone and then installed 0.08. Worked like a charm.

I think the dictionary I'm using doesn't have proper nouns in it (which Dane would be). There's a few words missing that I think should be allowed, so I might well add some things to the dictionary next time I update.

    @Flabyo:

Oh, a pal also recommended me Device 6 after I bitched about Year Walk. Just tried it for a few chapters.

…goddamnit. I'm seethinly jealous of that game idea! :)

EDIT: Went and finished it on one sitting, and wrote a Mood Pieces review. Not much you can say about the game without spoiling the basic idea, apart from the fact that the presentation really works.

Pinball Arcade hit Steam today and Tales of the Arabian Nights is free. I've also got Terminator 2 and Twilight Zone, thanks to the Kickstarters for each. It's absolutely worth the download even if you only play the one table, though. So great! :D

So um, ahem. If anyone is taking part in the new Humble Bundle and finds the already have Arkham City and don't need the Steam code that goes with it.

I know someone who can put it to good use.

    *cough*

Aw, sorry. I took a look over the Humble Bundle, realized I already owned everything from it I'd ever play and that I'd just be extending my Steam library for no purpose, and put the money towards an indie game I've been meaning to pick up. Can't believe the average is under $5 for this, though. I might break on this for Scribblenauts anyway.

Steam is certainly bringing it w/ the old PC games for cheap lately; all of the old volumes of You Don't Know Jack are on there now, and $2.99 the most expensive they get.

I spent a great deal of time as a kid playing YDKJ... alone. I think the experience is the root cause of my love of trivia and tendency towards sarcasm.

James, daww...well, if you get it and find yourself with a code that no one wants... I'd really appreciate it!

Damn, I just started pirating YDKJs for my mom last week... She doesn't have steam, but I bet I could convince her to sign up just for those.

@Jehrot, Thank you so much! You can even just mail it to me at wornoldhat@gmail.com if that works as well. Also, glad you also seem to be digging Bit Trip Runner2 as much as I am. :)
