twentythoughts- I love the LocoRoco series, and came very close to 100%-ing LR2, but the game stumbled and fell right at the very end. The platforming on the series has always been fairly loose due to the nature of its controls, so what does it do? Puts in an ultra-precise level or two right at the very tail end of the game. This was bonus post-credit-roll content, but being given a clear lesson by a game I'd loved up to that point on exactly how terrible its controls actually are was a bit of a misstep.

Turns out I DO still have room for LocoRoco and both my precious FFs (not that interested in keeping 8 on my Vita, and I actually did a full playthrough of 9 on the Vita shortly after I got it). But then my memory card is almost full.

Not that I'm lacking things to play. Haven't finished LBP Vita. Barely even scratched Soul Sacrifice (which feels like more and more of a waste the closer we get to the release date of Soul Sacrifice Delta or whatever it's called).

Still poking my way through Mario & Luigi: Dream Team Bros for the 3DS (which is good, though it's wearing out its welcome 19 hours in... I think I'll stop trying for the feat points, since that involves a LOT of save-scumming and doesn't actually get me any interesting rewards so far).

I've nearly finished Dead Rising 2. Killing zombies and psychopaths whilst saving people is killing my existence in reality. It's an amicable relationship.

I was kindly gifted Zelda: A Link Between Worlds today. It's a little slow to start, but once the shapeshifting ability is unlocked, it gets a whole lot more interesting.

PSA: Left 4 Dead 2 is busy being free on Steam right now.

The only thing on Steam right now is an error code. Turns out giving away Left For Dead 2 plus the weight of the holiday sale knocked them offline. I've seen Steam brought to its knees before, but this is the first TKO that I know of. :)

Trying to figure out what it means that when faced with either buying Skyrim for $7.49- which I haven't play yet - or the Enhanced Edition of Baldur's Gate for $7.99 - which I've owned and finished in the distant past - I have no idea which to choose. Something about Skyrim underwhelms me, though it might just be a last little atrophied bit of a young punk rock heart saying, all the critics loved it and it was huge, it must suck really. Or maybe I'm just old and I know BG is a proven good experience and I don't want to risk something new.

I'm really enjoying Skyrim, if it's any help. I got the $20 version with all the goodies because the idea of the Hearthfire add-on was too much to resist.

Also got Killer is Dead for PS3 for Christmas, plus a 2 terrabyte drive to replace my PC's teeny-tiny 250GB one. Time for a full Win 7 reinstall! :D

Re: Whitechapel gaming nights, I'd be more partial to L4D2 than Team Fortress, me likes co-op!

Seeing as i'm nomadic at the moment but still want my gaming fix I've decided to pick up a 3DS with the new Zelda, Pokemon and Mario. Anyone down for poke-trading/battling?
It was a toss up between the 3DS and the Vita which the 3DS won because of those three... Hopefully receive it soon!

Oh, oh, seconding the motion from Vorn. Getting together in a chat room, breaking off into groups of 4, meeting back up at the end and sharing stories about the badass stuff we pull off...

Sounds like fun (and it won't get as personal getting continuously put down by a Hunter as it would one of you guys).

Would be totally for that, but I missed out on L4D2 with only basic mobile internet...unless it's still free?

Sadly no. It's back up to 9.99 US. I can check the finances (which are a little tight atm; we're in the process of moving, but you never know), but I'd totally be willing to gift it. Wouldn't be the first time I've bought L4D2 for someone in another country just to get them to play w/ me...

    Nope, it's ten bucks now.

Though personally, I'm a lot more of a fan of the L4D versus than the co-op, which I find fairly repetitive.

Yeah, I might still pick up the $20 Skyrim for all the extra tasty bits. I also downloaded my L4D2, so co-op would be rad.

My edition of Bioshock: Infinite plopped on the doormat today. Got the Premium Edition for twenty quid on Amazon – rather good, I thought.
