Watched the PBS special "Jimi Hendrix: Hear My Train A Comin'" and enjoyed it. Nothing I didn't already know, but there was footage that I'd never seen before in the doc.

    Watched Person of Interest.

    Oh, hell.

    I mean.

You guys are making me want to watch Person of Interest. I guess I am hurtin' for shows to watch...

I've been following Person of Interest and I like the direction they're taking the story and the themes. It is a bit uneven at times, but somehow it just works for me.

I really liked this week's American Horror Story. This season hasn't been ad good as season 2 so far, but it seems like it's starting to come together.

Well shit just caught up Person of Interest to what you guys were talking about and OH NO THEY DIDN'T. O_O

Although, something bugged me with the episode:

Did they like lose FBI's phone number or something? Why was it so important to get into the building, instead of just phoning the feds, faxing them the confession and asking them for a pick-up?

    @vorn - Fair point. I'm also a little miffed...

...Carter wasn't wearing a vest because dammit they knew Simmonds was still out there.

...but I forgive them because the tragedy works so well - and not, I think, merely on a fridging level. If you think of the show's protagonist actually being The Machine, I think it makes sense.

    re: POI

But when did Reese start having feelings for Carter?
Seems like they just shoehorned that in to make things more poignant.

On Sleepy Hollow, what brand of body spray does Ichabod Crane prefer?

@khaooss Worth noting the Reese/Carter kiss was unscripted, improvised on the day. I think it works.

And, you guys.. this week's episode. Just so brilliant.

I'm loving The Blacklist. The whole thing is very slick and the Raymond Reddington character is fantastic.

Person of Interest is really good, too, glad I stuck through the first half of the first season. However, I'm watching it on Channel Five in the UK, so I'm a season behind, can I ask for spoiler hidey things?

    Sorry, Will!

(Keep up with it though - it gets even better.)

@Cat: I have to agree that moment seemed to me like it was more open to interpretation than a cheap 'Ooh, look the following incident is MORE meaningful'.
THIS weeks episode...just...I mean no titles? A genre action show with talking heads scenes and the best use of a Nine Inch Nails-tinged soundtrack since Season 1's "No Good Deed"? I tried to be good and wait for Channel 5 but after surpassing them with Season 2 I simply could not wait.

Ooh shit, yes. Just watched this week's Person of Interest. That was some fallout and they couldn't have picked a better song to start the episode with. Quite self evident, but still wow.

For the long-time Person Of Interest fans...

I've said from the pilot, when everybody was making obvious Batman-parallel comments, that the stronger comparison is to The Shadow: a former killer in New York (now with an extensive network of allies taken from those he's saved) with access to a fortune and the power to Cloud Men's Minds (or rather to out-think them). This week, Root plugged herself in to New York's network and did this...

Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men?
    Root Knows.

    Well, that was Hot.

I totally agree with you on 'The Shadow' side of things, they're pretty clear that Reece has done some horrible, horrible things.
Michael Emerson has himself described the show in interviews (non-derogatorily I stress) as 'comic book tv' and the show really seems to me to have captured an essential comic book-ness without compromising to TV Genre norms that many comic book adapted for TV (& long-form TV series in general) fall into.

I watched the Person of Interest semi-season closer last night. Pretty intense stuff, with lots of details on the principles' damaged natures.

I know Walking Dead usually sucks but last night's episode was pretty good.

I'm on the second to last episode of Misfits and have no idea how they are going to wrap this up. Is anyone else watching it? I never see anyone mention it here.

@William Joseph Dunn- I have been watching it and have really been liking it. They have alot of weird super powers this season.
