New three month thread and today is the final episode of the first season of The Bridge (US edition). It's been a weird, fun, dark ride and I'm looking forward to more next season.

I think the second episode of Shield was getting better. I can really see the Whedon-ess in it.
though it seems like the Nick Fury cameo was just there to remind people that it is tied to the marvel universe

SHIELD felt a lot more internally consistent this week, and it felt a little more like something with a connection to the MCU. It's still on probation with me, but on the other hand, I still want it to be good, so I'll stick around unless and until that goes away.

It is a pretty cool bus, though.

The 'posh brit scientist' character is getting on my tits already. NO-ONE SPEAKS LIKE THAT.

They do in a Whedon TV show. Which is neither a good thing nor a bad thing, I think.

Which one is the 'posh' brit scientist?

The girl, I can't remember which is which, cause even the show treats them as a single character at the moment...

If you've got GTA5, the DJ on the non-stop pop channel is how Brit girls *actually* sound...

Flabyo - you've clearly not shagged met enough posh birds...

SHIELD may end up needing its own thread soon.

The promo for episode 3 defies the laws of physics:

I could barely stand the second episode of SHIELD and that was fairly faded as well.

It's simply too much camp. Also the main dude is horrendous.

Yeah, that's how I sorta feel about it. I didn't manage to watch the whole thing. Plus shows with constant, corny, dramatic music seem to irritate me now.

So, Homeland took a turn for the even-more-overtly racist last night...

The US Low Winter Sun ended last night. Didn't come together as well as I'd hoped it would. The one thing that I really liked about it was how they used Detroit. It feels like the shambling corpse of a city, populated by the main and supporting cast, and a handful of extras.

I'm watching last night's episode of The Good Wife.

In addition to the usual legal procedural stuff, and the legal firm Machiavellian stuff, there's this dark, droll subplot involving the NSA. Two goofball analysis listen in to phone calls to and from the legal firm, and to the Florick's home, doing the bidding of creepy, bureaucratic functionaries fishing for terrorist connections.

@StefanJ The Good Wife continues to be the best show about technology on the air that isn't actually SF.
That show would be Person Of Interest.

Looks like Si isn't the only one getting naughty with the magic creatures.

ABC "accidentally" promotes WONDERLAND by having the White Rabbit circle Snow White's crotch:

    SHIELD
I mean... It's just super low rent isn't it? If you lower your expectations to NCIS/Castle/CSI levels, then it's totally fine. Middle of the road, crowd pleasing, take it or leave it glossy crap. I am hoping, as it is Whedon curated, that the season arc will be more satisfying than these early character/world establishing episodes which are pretty weak sauce. I'll probably give it a season, although I'm not gagging for the next episode by any means.

    Sons of Anarchy
Gyurg. Is anyone else suffering though this? It is THE WORST. I hate every character now and I honestly don't even know what I want from this show any more. I think best outcome might just be the entire cast in a mass grave.
