It's Thursday! It's mid-afternoon in London! It's another wrongheaded morning in Mericky! It's who-the-fuck-knows-when in Australia! It's time for more Crossed Hideosity!

    Episode 64, live and free-to-air.

Remember: Not safe for work, not safe for minors, not safe for people of a nervous disposition, not safe for Oprecard, not safe for kisses of a friendly nature, not safe for bloody bloody Lloyds TSB.

My god. And the look in Don's eyes when he called for Elisa. Also loved the little motion with the pistol he made when he goes "Pass me the child". The work by Fernando Melek has been fantastic and underrated throughout his run. Today just stood out even moreso than usual. Also, every time some variation of "Shaky told us", "But Shaky said...", "Wait one fucking minute, according to Shaky..." is uttered, it is such a blackly comic moment for me. You don't have to actually see his face to see the hangdog expression deepen, lol.

Si - just wanted to say thank you for the extended conversation you had with me at the Titan table and the great conversation (at NYCC this past weekend). one of the many things I love about this medium is the fact that most of the writers are so down to earth and personable, and accessible. you're truly going to be in the pantheon of great comics writers along with Garth and Warren (if you aren't there already... in my eyes, you're already there) so thanks for the awesomeness. the Disenchanted preview was excellent, as was this last Badlands arc (no lessons were learned. oh well!)
please let me know next time you're in the Tri-State Area so I can buy you a pint, and we can talk more about our mutual love for writers like Warren and Garth. my email is

Well, I wonder where Jackson is and how he is gonna handle THIS situation?

Bloody hell. As usual, it was everything we were expecting and more. As usual, all of our best speculations were wrong, in a good way. As usual, you could spend hours analyzing it but too much analysis kind of kills the elegance, verdad?

So instead... Well played, creative team. Well-played.

Top-fucking-notch, Si - as always, a golden (albeit horrific, bloody, suspenseful, etc) pen for us to enjoy.

I wondered the same thing as 'Clark' (about Jackson's reaction to this fiasco) and thought he might be front-line just to go against the grain. But I gather we'll know soon enough.

Don is an even bigger turd than I originally thought. I always gathered him as more the little-big man syndrome type, versus one who might literally point a gun in a baby's face, even for his own ass. Though I suppose almost nothing should be beyond any of them by this point. Still, something leads me to think that's gonna be a relatively bad decision on his part, heh.

Well it seems things went to shit. Shakey, as always, gets a finger up his ass, and now they have a baby as a hostage. While it seems the Americans were expecting them, and new about their attack, I wonder if Jackson had anything to do with it? (I say maybe) Although it seems Jackson is absent from this. Can't wait for the outcome.

I'm pretty sure they were expecting the attack because of the paper Shaky slipped to the captain a few chapters back.

Yes, exactly. As far as Jackson goes, I assume he is off leading a group of boat people to Cava to seize it while the islanders' most capable are doing the raid. Shaky basically flipped the script completely on his group.

    I'm guessing Jackson's either:

    a) off to the side with his sights trained on Don's head, ready to pull the trigger.
    b) taking Cava, as Blighty said.
or c) off somewhere with his sheep, muttering about "daft wee cunts making war".

agree with Wood - Shaky totally tipped them off

no idea where Jackson is, I would probably go with with "a) off to the side with his sights trained on Don's head, ready to pull the trigger."
