...Shaky shares with Sister his romantic poetry?

Well, if it's even half as bad as Vogon poetry ...

Why do I have the feeling that Tabitha may end up being the Miki Makimura to Shaky's Akira Fudo? Especially if a vengeful Aoileann figures out the relationship between the two somehow? Except Akira was far more virtuous despite him being a bloodthirsty demon-human hybrid. Anyone who's ever read Devilman knows what the fuck I'm talking about.

Yes, I'm a Go Nagai fan as well. So sue me. ;-)

Though the poetry would be even more sadistic...

(And now there's the Japan arc in Badlands. Honestly, Nagai should be drawing it, he's been drawing Crossed-type psychos since 1973... Violence Jack, anyone?)

We've seen several human/crossed comparisons in Shaky's interlude diary entries. He's critical of the crossed, of course... but I get the feeling that he envies them from the way he writes about them. (i.e. - crossed are having more fun, we're all the same, etc.)

"No, Donny, these men are nihilists. There’s nothing to be afraid of."

PS - Si, I've adopted the term "pissflaps" into my everyday vocabulary. Results have been... positive... so far.

When Tabitha dies (and I'm not going to lie to myself by using the word "if" instead of "when", this is the crossed universe after all), I will probably cry. And I'm quite heartless irl, but she reminds me too much of a hippy, pragmatic bitch who should be despicable from my own personal life whom I didn't meet exactly in the best possible circumstances either.

I always thought that all the post-apocalyptic stories had a tendence to forget to mention the fact that no one was ever spotted washing him or herself as well. And yes, shaky always seems to be envious of the crossed. Perhaps because they have no fears and he's a great coward, or because he thinks that they don't really care that much about the lives they once had and simply enjoy the hell out of the one they are having now, or both. Deep down, h'd probably like to just become Teresa's crossed lover. Le romance <3 (scarier mental image than mutilated Tabitha just now)
