@ dorkmuffin - yeah, I like to keep a record of what I destroy in the process. :D

I dig the birch drawing. Reminds me of Jeff Jones.

    Happy new year everyone!

This one took quite a bit longer than planned.
Barely resisted posting it now to the very old but technically still open R/R for which it was originally intended.

Cane toad. Testing out some new pen nibs.

... Managed to spill most of my new ink while doing this. Because I am a huge klutz.

@ HEY APATHY! - I imagine the soundtrack to "Eraserhead" going with that animation. A fun nightmare.

@ dorkmuffin - I hate when I spill shit..which is often. Every time I see a picture of a cane toad, I half expect some Bond villain dialog to come out of it's mouth.

I got another piece done today:

I'm back to working on junk I dig up out of the garbage or find lying around the workspace. I've been playing around with geometric shapes on the last few pieces and I think I'll continue that for awhile to see where it takes me.

@ Paul Sizer - that captures why I can't live back east perfectly. I like how you left a lot of white space at the top of the image.

    Sixty Two

The last day I spoke to my father was today. It was right before his birthday.

He never came off delirious to me. My junkie mother, however, said he was seeing black cats.

Nine black cats were sitting on his hospital bed right before he suddenly went acute.

He no longer could communicate. Quick. Fast.

He would die four days later.

His birthday is on Saturday. His ashes lie at the Dzibilchaltun Pyramid and Chapel Dulcinea.

He would have been sixty two.

wow, lot's of great stuff here as always

@ william joseph dunn- these paintings are incredible, I really enjoyed the procss pics on the previous page too
@ Sizer- too awesome such a fantastic little strip
@ conor- very slick image love the heavy inks
@ jackcrowder- what an incredible work & words. Beautiful

This is a commission I did for a friend who has been having out of body sensations recently. The original is 8 x 10 inches ink on paper and has been framed to hang on the wall like an actual piece of art (opposed to being published like an actual comic)...

    @ Hey Apathy - thanks!

Cool strip. I like the "Little Nemo in Slumberland" vibe.
