@InvincibleM: If you're gonna steal, steal from the best! Pizzolatto's been open about his influences, I'll allow it what with everything being a remix.

@Cat Vincent: Maybe Rust's post-abscondance urge for a kebab leads our heroes to the new mid western mid-eastern takeout, 'Elfayed's'.

Rick and Morty has effectively invented a new genre: Heartwarming Nihilism.

New season of Continuum opened BIG. Going for the Deep Time Travel Chess Game and unafraid to get nice and twisty - and this is just the first episode of the season! You'll seriously benefit from a full rewatch to get all the joy here.

@ Cat Vincent - I thought the new season of Continuum didn't start until April?

Hannibal continues to be so good, you'd think it was a cable show.
  3.  (11240.6)
I am surprised I don't see more people talking about Hannibal, like they did True Detective. While I liked TD I think Hannibal is better. Some of the shots and special effects they use are so beautiful.

@William - maybe not in the US... Canada, and thus the intarwubs, got it from Saturday night.

@imaginarypeople: Hannibal is just glorious. And I wish it got the love TD did - though its fanbase are (heh) ravenous and critical acclaim is considerable, the ratings are poor. If it picks up, Fuller has a full 6 season plan, incorporating Red Dragon as S3, Silence (if he can get the rights - if not, it'll be Silence with the serial numbers filed off) as S4, then Hannibal-the-book (good luck making that work!) and a final season to tie it all off.

I've yet to polish off S1 of Hannibal, so I'll be doing that soon. On the whole I enjoy it, apart from episodes where Lector is sticking livers and other body-parts in blenders etc.

I've still been following Helix - probably just to see how it ends - but it's not something I'd really recommend.

    Justified is still great.

@flecky - Yeah, Helix is truly car-crash telly. But some of those music choices are splendid.

Really? I guess, I'm just weird, but the food he prepares from his victims is one of my favorite parts of the show. Whoever designed those dishes does an awesome job. If Thomas Keller was a cannibal, I'd imagine it would look like those dishes...

...yeah, I'm a food nerd. Now you guys know.

Need I mention that, even by Person of Interest's standards, this week was exceptionally good?

    Hint:
  8.  (11240.12)
Nope, it's not necessary but some things are desirable. Just because it's so consistently great doesn't mean we should stop praising it. I continue to be blown away by the shows level of detail, for example apropros of your 'hint':

I keep blinking and missing little gems like this. Thank goodness for reddit.

Root's warning about the new Machine was chilling. Really, who needs corrupt cops on your ass when you've got a malignant AI after you?

I'm not sure how "infrasound" helps in this case. Has the Machine taken over the building's PA system?

    StefanJ:

    Spoilers
Infrasound is a bypass of Decima's 'countermeasures' which killed Root's uplink to The Machine. The cohchlear implant she had put in works on those frequencies. Now as to where The Nachine's node is... good question.

Community did another Dungeons and Dragons episode. The bit after the credits is delightful.

I watched the first season of the original (Scandinavian) version of The Bridge on hulu, and it's quite good.
