    @No Fear

    I think that only applies to characters that have sex. But it doesn't really matter; it's legalese, a bunch of mumbo jumbo that you probably shouldn't worry about.

    I just figured they were all midgets. And while I'm being insensetive, how do you think the cross take to a mentally challenged person?

    Same way they take to everyone but with different insults and some variations in how they kill them, I suppose.

    "Catamite." Patient Zero couldn't have known the context of that word, but he does. There's no doubt about it, whatever the Crossed virus is, it can see everyone.

    inthe last patient 0 comics why the hell aren't the soldiers using some king of protection? nbc suits or something. ok, not full hazmat suits but come on shirts and berets? no face shields? at least rubber gloves. wtf? they know now how easily you can get infected and still no protection?

    You really have to be clear about what you're asking. I can't tell if you're asking about the people guarding Gordon Brown, the police outside of the interrogation room, or the soldiers at the secret airfield.

    Besides, if you actually read the latest issue you'd see that NBC suits really didn't do anything to protect the wearer from the Crossed.

    i'm talking about the soldiers that guard the bunker outside. the ones that are preparing for a crossed raid. only uniforms when for sure the bunker is fitted with protective clothing. also the fatal englishmen go on the rescue mission wearing shirts? even rain coats/pants offer better protection from spit/piss/blood coz are impermeable. you get infected from direct contact and not get turned like a sucker from splash or because you lick a fucking envelope with piss on it. just common sense. also the guise inside the bunker should at least were some lab protective clothing and not their cia black suits. prepare for the worst not suppose that all is good when russia sent bombers to nuke usa, putin says to shoot those bombers down and the guy at the white house says "fuckalong jack".

    where did is say that nbc suits don't offer any kind of protection?
    issue 54 is the last i've read and i couldn;t find anything regarding this matter.

    From what the way you said it, it sounded like you were still on #53. So it's a safe bet you saw what happened to the guards with the NBC suits, right? Anyways, I'm pretty sure that the guards aren't wearing them because the facility they're guarding wasn't prepared for a situation like this at all; the infection was theoretically supposed to be contained inside with a handful of experts. Therefore, there wouldn't be a whole lot of protective gear.

    And why would Harry and his team wear any kind of "protection" when they kill the Crossed from a distance? And how the hell would they get it? Or, more importantly, how would they even maintain it? It is beyond stupid to even consider taking NBC suits into combat against the Crossed.

    why should be stupid to have nbc suits against crossed? aren't they created for this special purpose to protect the wearer from biological stuff? of course it offers no protection against weapons more than any combat suit but if the crossed start trowing shit, body parts at them, they will be protected. also you never know that you are going to shoot them from the distance. there is always the possibility of something going wrong and being pined down and having to fight them at closed range or even hand to hand. and then protective clothing gives you more chances of staying uninfected. at least that;s how i see it. the guise from cava use face shields, gloves, motorcycles helmets etc to protect themselves from crossed infections but the highly trained soldiers don't?

    I've mentioned before about military personnel and their lack of NBC but people decided it was fine for them not to have it, even though I pointed out it doesn't even need to be issued as it is standard issue kit and Standard Operating Procedure to wear it in the event of any NBC situation without the need for actual orders to be given but all I got was 'suspension of disbelief dude'

    yea but that discussion was about shanky's story about london. and we don;t know if they were dress in nbc suits or not coz shanky never sow them fighting. he imagined all that. aslo we don't know what information they had so "suspension of disbelief" can be thrown in the discussion, but this guise at the bunker, trained military, trained doctors that saw ho the virus is passed from person to person and they go in shirts? they had no nbc suits for everybody? ok, somehow i can accept that. but raincoats i think they had enough for the guards that are normally defending military facilities. and even raincoats offer more protection that normal clothes that soak in blood. no rain coats? ok use garbage plastic bags cover your clothes to protect from skin contact.

    Catamite is catching, not pitching isn't it? Also the crossed covers are non canonical. Garth especially is known to let the artists go crazy on the covers but is extremely specific when it come to the story art.

    Doctors aren't wizards, they can't conjure suits out of thin air even they saw how easily it spread. And when did you see raincoats? For all you know they don't have any of those either. And trash bags... seriously? You do realize this is the Crossed we're talking about here, right?

    And yes, if you're on the run, it is stupid to think NBC suits are magical armor that will protect you from a rampaging horde of Crossed. Don't be the salt guy, ya?

    @ danny

    my 1st language isn't english but i can't make it more clear than this.
    nbc, rain suits, plastic bags. are not to protect from the crossed physical attacks. they can be used to protect from shit, blood, piss, that can be trown at you. if a crossed gets close and you blow his head off he is dead but you are full of infected blood and turned. if you wear normal clothing if you are covered in infected blood shit piss that will pass to the skin and you are now crossed. i don't say nbc, rain suits will magically make you invulnerable. they will provide no more protection against physical attacks than normal combat suits but taking into account how the virus is spread i think a minimum of safety is to be taken into account. at least fucking gloves.

    no rain coats? in uk? really?

    disregard my paint skills

    the chances of someone being turned and turning others will be drastically reduced.

    @11111

    But that's the thing about Harry's team, they would never allow the Crossed to get close enough to necessitate constant protection. Also, how do you know they don't have any protective gear? It's obvious that they salvage supplies to survive, so plastic bags and the like would probably be used for more delicate situations. After all, you can only use these things once before having to throw them away.

    On a side note, that image isn't showing up. For me, at least.

    if you check #54 you can clearly see harry's team wears shirts with their sleeves up to the elbow. especially in the panel when they reach the 2 pilots where you can clearly see the crossed no more than 2-3m away from their jeep with blood splattered all over form the .50 cal machine gun

    I'll admit that was very reckless on their behalf, but this is the first time they've fought the Crossed and they are on a mission where time is of the essence. Do you honestly expect them to drop everything to find one of your magic trash bags?

    After reading #55 I got a feeling that this "virus" is almost supernatural. Patient zero knowing that Harry called alistair a catamite only days ago is quite amazing. This patient zero arc has such a different and refreshing take on the whole crossed universe. It reads more like a biological thriller like the movie Contagion, more than horror. Which I think is quite interesting.
