    Can we just quickly talk about #56. Holy shit that was one of the best ending I've seen in a while and to think the last badlands arc made we consider giving up on Crossed.But that ending <div id="hide">"Think fast harry"</div> Whoosh! Ennis does it again! Hope we get another round of Harry and the boys eventually.

    @Blutoisnotaplanet

    Did you check out Badlands 25-27?
  2.  (11289.323)
    Yeah, so sadly I know what lies in store for our boys. But The fatal Englishman is a good couple of years after C-day. I'll bet that Ennis can write something between the beginning and the end of their journey. Maybe a Jock and Taff story (we don't really know anything about them) or seeing the group get reunited.

    I think I read somewhere that Garth is going to write another arc round about the 75th issue, maybe will feature Harry and co.

    The last part of the interview in the link is where Garth gives out some info on his next Crossed story: "Once a Warrior King".

    I was referring more to the risk of infection. Ultimately it didn't matter.

    Nice ending, probably the most diplomatic way of showing the fate of a former PM.

    how did Dr. Chopra got infected?
    how did Dr. Chopra managed to walk around the bunker unnoticed?
    nobody watching the cameras, nobody screaming, nobody running, nobody to raise the alarm, no shooting?
    if Dr. Chopra is the only one infected and managed to sneak unnoticed on the hallways meas there is just 1 or 2 crossed inside. why not open the door?
    i don;t know the procedure to secure the p/m in the bunker but i don;t believe you escort him to the steel door and lock him in just like that without checking first the perimeter and if everybody else important is inside? let's suppose it's like that but why doesn't harry open the door? maybe somebody else is inside hiding and needs rescued.

    I got the impression thatthe PM knew exactly what he was doing by sealing himself in with the other infected folks, saving the people on the outside who were not infected in one last atttempt to not be too much of a douche. I also got the impression that neither were aware the infection had gotten out of Patient Zero's room until Dr. Chopra showed up as the door was closing, and by then, everythign was sealed up.

    Going back a few comments to the prehistoric infections: I was thinking much further back than what the covers have depicted. That could explain why certian homo lineages went extinct: it's a population control measure or a way to cull an inferior species in the same genus?

    @Haggy

    Patient Zero's conversation with Alistair in issue 56 seem to support this population control theory, actually: "It's going to be perfect. Not to us. All we'd see is pain. Disorder. But perfect the way an earthquake is perfect, or a flood, or a famine. We're revolted by a rotting body: but that rot feeds soil, feeds things that move within it. And it removes what's harmful... it cleanses."

    But whether whether it's the virus talking, Patient Zero trying to understand it, or some mix in between, we'll probably never get a straight answer.

    As we have had spoilers and as I won't get #56 for a couple more weeks, could someone say if the 2 pilots made it out okay.

    Interesting stuff about the population control theory, would seem to support some natural/supernatural event as opposed to bio-terrorism/act of war.

    @No Fear This is crossed, what do you think. Personally I thought the final patient zero was really lazy, I expect better from Garth. :(

    @no fear
    Spoiler
    they have some fuel problems so they realize given the situation they have small odds to be saved if there is still somebody to save them so they set the nuke to explode at a certain altitude and they go boom without launching it so destroying the Russian bomber fleet

    Also is very interesting given crossed nature to act on impulse how they can drive the bombers for such a long and boring transatlantic flight

    Pretty sure it's their military training (as well as the knowledge of knowing how much destruction they can cause) that's allowed them to maintain their composure.
