I dont know if anyone can help me here - There's an old show I think about early 2000s? It only lasted a year if best. It was about a newspaper and the journalists/reoprters who managed to always find some weird supernatural/x-filesish situations happen to them. It's been a while, but I enjoyed it and am curious to what it's actually called..
It was probably "Night Stalkers" the remake of the 70's "Kolchak the Night Stalker".I was a huge fan of the original and Chris Carter cites it as an influence on the "X-Files".
I tried the new one but couldn't get past the second scene. In the set up our reporter and his photographer ran over an unusual animal on an empty highway.
Cut to commercial.
The next scene opens with the pair trying to get into the morgue to see what they hit.
Why the hell didn't they look when they hit it ? Why didn't they take a picyure with the camera in the car? Weren't they the only ones who were around to call the damn police in the first place!
I took that as a sign that week after week nothing would be resolved. That's inertia not suspense and I hate it,
I also Hate the idea that anything in this century is being called old by anyone.
