    It's free, so at the very least I'm not disappointed in paying for this. The art is once again the strongest element in Freakangels. I thought this story sounded unique, and it is. I thought the characters sounded unique, and in a way they are. But they speak in the same way as every other character Ellis writes for. I feel like I could switch the names from KK and Conner to the two characters from 'Crooked Little Vein' and it'd be just right. The only differences are that the freakangels have abilities and are living in a different setting. At the core, they read like the same damn people.... so far.

    It's just the same one-liner style.

    That's the one bad opinion I have about it. Don't worry, I'm not completely knocking on Freakangels or Warren.
    There are some really cool concepts and ideas drifting through the Freakangels plot. Nice little touches to take notice to, such as the eyes changing during the telepathy process. The conflict in the story seems interesting enough. Not everything is simply laid out for the reader. And as I said before, the story itself sounds unique. But in the end I'll leave the 'brilliant' slinging to the very typical super-fans.

    Excellent read, Mr Ellis never ceases to amaze me, this online idea is excellent, also there's a good interveiw with Avatars president on Newsarama about this.

    Enthralled.

    I was looking for the word, and there it is. I am enthralled by this. I especially love the palette and feeling of Freakangels. This is a world that I can't wait to experience more.

    actual character - actual arc potential - deadly (maybe) aim with a canteen - and pretty pretty drawn boy.

    i'm glad i don't walk around with those particular chips on my shoulder, but i'm gonna keep reading to see what happens with KK's.

    Very very nice, the minute I saw connor i thought of a manga series called "witch hunter Robin" which is to say I love the styling.
    Looking forward to where this takes us.

    Usually when I hear about a webcomic, it's usually an uninteresting comic by some unknowns. But this is definitely not that. I really hope this format catches on, especially when the writing and art are so damn good. I feel almost guilty reading this for free. A part of me just wants to throw some money at Warren like I usually do.

    I meant in terms of length only, I figure four instalments gives enough 'content' to get a bit of a feel for the thing. My language was sloppy, perhaps. I'm aware that the story structure and episode length are intentional and complementary, and therefore not the same as a book.
