So, the Steam Sale starts today?

Anyone else's bank account already weeping ugly tears?

I have the mixed blessing of having no money whatsoever in my bank account for the sale.

Bought Gone Home. The only thing that really interested me.

Wasteland 2 Beta is now open for all backers. downloading now

It's weird, but I think I have enough games for right now. The Steam sale isn't interesting me at all, aside from crafting the badge. I just don't feel like I need or even want anything new right now, thanks to my backlog being so large, and all the games I'd consider adding to that backlog I've already got thanks to bundles and earlier sales.

That's how I've felt for the last couple of sales. Unless Kerbal Space Program comes up at 75% off, or Transistor for 50% (which is unlikely since it only just came out) I don't think I'm going to be buying anything.

Bought Witcher 2, but my graphics card isn't up to snuff. Alas.

Just going to save up for a small tv for my room so I can get play out of my ps3 and get through my backlog.

And then I promptly break thanks the the flash sale on Banished, because apparently I have no idea what I want. Except Banished. I definitely want that.

But nothing else, honest! (Except for Serious Sam Classics Revolution, because $2.50 was a bit much to resist for an updated compilation of a favorite series, Banished was only $9.99, and $10 gets another Steam card.)

-edit- Ooh, semi-freebie alert! The Pinball Arcade comes with one free table, Arabian Nights, and for the Steam sale you can get Theater of Magic, Ripley's Believe it or Not, and Black Hole for $0.01. Four pinball tables for $0.01 is an awfully nice deal. :)

At this point, the things I am most excited for with the Steam sale is for multiplayer games I like to go on sale enough for my friends to buy them. Specifically waiting on: Monaco, Space Engineers, and Saints Row 4.

    LOVING the look of Cuphead.

Delver is $2.39 for the next two hours. I woke up early so had some spare time, plus my willpower slept in late, so gave it a go. I've only played a bit but I'm really liking it so far. It's a rogue-like with very little need to amend that overused term. Single life, run through randomized dungeon, find randomized loot, etc. The one run I played was good fun.

Picked up Wolf Among Us. Walking Dead redeemed my previously horrible opinion of Telltale Games with it's fantastic writing, superb voice acting, and playable mechanics. Although my most trusted sources were telling me how good it was, I still felt like it was a step to get it...kind of by thinking that Walking Dead was just the exception in Telltale's line.

But thankfully, that wasn't the case. So far it's a fantastic game that is really sucking me in. Love the noir aspect of it as well as the nice Adventure Game feel. Although I definitely would have been a lot more lost if I hadn't read the comics.

    oldhat:

Glad to hear Telltale got redeemed :) I'm still waiting for a suitable time to play Walking Dead's season 2. It was a ritual to go to a pub to play the latest episode, but I don't go to bars much anymore, so as a side effect the game's been on hiatus for a while. Annoyingly it won't run on my old-as-balls Mac Pro anymore. Re-purchased Wolf Among Us for X360 and now I'm wondering if there's any functional way to transfer Walking Dead saves from Mac to the console :P

5:20AM. Discovered Beat Hazard had a new DLC pack that was only $2 due to the Steam sale. Cranked the effects slider to 200% and played a pile of songs off Peter Gabriel's Secret World Live album while experimenting with the new ships. If I'm going to not get any sleep, this is the way to do it. :)

Went and bought Baldur's Gate 2 from Steam, didn't I? Hopeless at it, aren't I?

Alright, I know I've complained about there being no Meteos already, but I swear to fuck, arcade puzzle games just straight up do not exist on smartphones. All there is is Tetris, which obviously doesn't have controls built for a touchscreen because it's fucking Tetris! There's just hordes of horrible, shitty, turn-based match three games and boring, simplified RTS-lites. It makes me feel like the only sane person left on the planet.

I enjoyed monument valley recently nice perspective puzzles but very short and been keeping a gameboy micro with advance wars 2 in my bag.

The first Dark Souls 2 DLC, Crown of the Sunken King, is delicious. Makes me eager for more.

Even though one optional boss is an absolute unfair bastard. This game still hates melee-only characters. Gotta start incorporating a crossbow into my arsenal...
