It's Thursday! It's mid-afternoon in London! It's another wrongheaded morning in Mericky! Everyone in Australia is dead from spiders and snakes and poisonous accents, apparently. And it's time for more Crossed hideosity!

Episode 86, live and free-to-air.

Holy McSchnitzel-Tits. Don't tell me that she is just keeping him alive because she wants him to impregnate her?! Overly attached girlfriend, anyone?

I don't know, Aoileann doesn't seem like the type of character that would focus on a detail as trivial as "Shaky cumming". It might play a part of it, sure, but I feel as if it would only be part of the bigger picture. Incidentally, there are eight more episodes left! The countdown has begun!

Yes, I'm a long time lurker but the growing sense things coming to an end have forced my hand and I am finally writing in. Such a sense of foreboding permeating every single panel it's almost unbearable. A testament to the exceptional first class storytelling. I have been in awe of this series from when I first stumbled across it towards the start of book 2. Incredible writing Simon, you've kept me on the edge of my seat waiting for each new episode and never once have you sounded a wrong note. I don't know which is worse, waiting for the next episode or forcing yourself to read slowly and savouring every single word knowing you have another whole week to go. Curse those skip weeks! But thank you for every instalment.

Question for Mr. Spurrier: What can you tell us about the process for writing flashback scenes in WYWH? I don't mean to kiss ass or anything, but this is honestly the best use of flashbacks in a comic I've ever seen (how Ashoke's story begins and ends in the same chapter is one that I wound up telling even my friends that loathe Crossed).

Actually, the thought had very briefly crossed (heh-heh) my mind before reading this chapter that maybe Shaky knocked her up and that she had given birth as a Crossed, before I quickly discounted it since that's a detail that the Gamekeeper would have absolutely mentioned.

But Crossed-Aoileann actually wanting Shaky to father her child? Suddenly that possibility don't seem so crazy. Yes, we know that Crossed women are horrible moms (understatement of the year), but if there was one Crossed who had enough self-control not to harm her child it would be Aoileann. Certainly this puts Aoileann's habit of "making her cum" with spare limbs in a whole new light, especially considering that "normal" Crossed do everything that moves, and also those that don't.

Oh, and if I were Shaky I wouldn't feel so blue about not cumming. Sure, he didn't cum but he sure-as-hell gave Aoileann the orgasm of a lifetime. That's certainly nothing to sneeze at, ^_^;; And like I said, probably another reason why she's so obsessed of him as a Crossed.

Goddamnit. I read the first few episodes of Crossed back when, but now I binged through the whole thing in the last week. Good timing, I'd say, quite the nice cliffhanger to hit! This latest chapter was damn nice and desolate. I like these anticlimactic points in stories when "all the toys get broken". Interested to see where this is going to end up.

I'll be honest, I have frequently wondered about people's priorities during this infective apocalypse. They seem a bit skewed away from activities that would help promote survival to be honest. I mean there's risky and there's risky and then there's this ...

I fucked my high school crush once and couldn't cum. I think I know where shaky is coming from.
4. (11341.10)
Brilliant as usual. Aoileann is a DYNAMO in the sack, but the constant "no, no, no" -ing is a bit of a downer. Probably at least part of why Shakes can't finish the deed. Exponentially less sexy when the gal is making you feel like a rapist. That said, Shaky should have pulled out and listened to the advise of the Dexys Midnight Runners and Come on Aoileann. Might've cured what ailed him.

@Babu probably right about the nun wanting Shaky's baby, thus never letting a another man enter her.

God. Damn. Forget Shakey's nongasm, I have been waiting for that PUNCHLINE for months now. In the not-so-quiet words of Aoileann, "UUUUUUUUUHHHHHHHH!"

:puffs on cigarette, exhales::

Wonder if he'll have problems achieving when (if) Aoileann turns him into a crossed. THAT would be the ultimate joke on Shakey. Poor, poor Shakey.

Wait a minute, if Shaky's god then Aoileann's the Virgin Mary, so the child would be... oh Jesus H. Christ.

Oh crap. I think she's going to ask him to stop, and he's not going to, and suddenly it's rape and she's been keeping him alive so she can do something particularly horrible to him... I really hope I'm wrong.

From the looks of it, Aoileann herself didn't seem to consider it rape. She did say no quite a bit, which made me worried, but at the end she asked if Shaky had finished as well, which I took as a sign that she had no ill will against him. Still, the morally sound thing for Shaky to do would have been to stop the moment Aoileann said no.

Dannykat: they're still going at it in the last panel, though. And she has a history of changing her mind after her passion cools...

...or where he's not coming from!

Still think Teresa thinks Shaky is God. I think Si and his illustrators are God. That one panel alone of all the crossed waiting with Teresa out front was freaking amazing. So much detail to dart about in - I'm in awe of the skill which goes into this comic.

The islanders are going on a trip alright - to hell in a handbasket!
