    Are many Whitechapel denizens following this delightful podcast?

    If not, then the first episode is here.

    It's one of those shows that it's probably best to go into cold, but I will say that it's weird, funny, and dark. As the series goes on, it also becomes increasingly heartfelt and resonant, IMHO.

    Anyway, for those of you who are enjoying it already - how have you been finding the last few episodes? Personally, I'm loving the current arc!

    SPOILERS BELOW.

    Huge fan (bought the button set just to wear the Weird Scout badge), and I'm loving the long arc of the series.

    The slow development of Cecil's rebellion - and the inciting incident/turning point of Khoshekh's injury at the hands of the StrexCorp doll - have literally had me weepy at times.

    Have you heard the two live shows? Can be downloaded for a few bucks at commonplacebooks.com

    Huge fan here, too, though I haven't had time to catch up on the last three episodes. Considering buying a regular shirt.

    Yeah;

    Khoshek getting maimed was really sad. It was interesting to see Cecil going from being bewildered and distraught to seething and vengeful. I think that's pretty much how I'd react if someone hurt my kitty. God help anyone who should try and harm Carlos!

    Not heard the live episodes yet, but I should - I need to give the creators some money, for one thing. Also, any excuse to listen to Hiram McDaniels!

    @Oldhat

    You might want to check the website today - they just announced a bunch of Canadian tour dates.

    Love it :)

    Nightvale uses a song by Danny Schmidt. I had the great pleasure of seeing Danny and his partner Carrie Elkin perform in my little North Yorkshire Market town. One of the best songwriters I've seen.

    Oh, man, I've been wishing for a place to talk about Night Vale lately. It's gotten pretty heavy in the last couple months, and I've no one to vent to.
    The episode that went up today... after literally crying when Khoshek got hurt AND when Cecil got emotional about the failed insurrection on Parade Day, it was just sad. Fucking Strexcorp, man.

    I did miss out on going to a live show here, because money. I'm not sure I feel too bad about it, though. Listening to it as a radio show, being alone and imagining everything and feeling like Cecil is talking directly to you, seems the ideal consumption.

    Of the latest episode I shall just say...
    "I'll miss the Seans."

    @brittanica

    It really has, hasn't it? Especially now

    the entire town has been put into a forced labour camp. It's always been clear that Strexcorp were a bunch of sinister scumbags, but I was still a little shocked to see just how much they were enjoying themselves this episode. Keep the faith though - you know they'll get what's coming to them!

    @Cat Vincent

    That bit made me grin a dark little grin. I really like how the writers make little callbacks like this one, particularly as
    I wasn't sure whether the whole 'studio covered in blood and viscera' thing was actually true, or just a product of Cecil's skewed perception. But he was right all along - Strexcorp really DO like their studios to be dripping with blood, apparently. Also enjoying how the actor who plays Kevin has ratcheted his performance up from 'quite creepy' to 'full blown rictus grinning madman'.

    Logical progression though NVR has blood operated doors. I always imagined Desert Bluffs used some sort of Viscera biotech, like a blood soaked H.R Geiger (RIP) picture.
    They're so cheerful at StrexCorp. Not right man, not right. I was looking forward to an update from Cecil and then BAM!

    I finally got round to downloading The Debate right now.

    For some reason they hadn't been posting their episodes on their Soundcloud for the past few months, so I was way behind. Just caught up and... holy shit.

    I think/hope that Intern Dana plays/will play/has played a role in the eventual ousting of StrexCorp from Night Vale. (also just checked the Night Vale wiki to look up Dana's name and somehow I didn't realize that Dana is voiced by Astrid from Fringe).

    Yeah, I think so too. I think that Strexcorp are trying to summon their Smiling God across from whatever place Dana is currently in. She's alluded to some terrible presence bearing down on that reality, and acknowledged that she and the masked warriors (?) will soon have no choice but to turn and face it.

    The morse code from Parade Day mentions Fall 2015. Speculation?

    The writers are working on a novel, which is due out in 2015, so maybe it's that.

    The latest episode is a doozy. Some triumphant moments, and one bit I found a little heartbreaking.

    @curb: Yes, and yes. Kind of the pay-off we've expected, but that's not a complaint.

    @Darkest I swear they're getting better at writing those with every passing week. And Cecil's voice acting chops have been growing steadily bigger, too.

    @Oldhat You're welcome, enjoy! I'm hoping they might even venture to see us across the pond before too long, they certainly aren't slacking with the live shows.
