    @Si you know we're just taking the piss, right? There would be no righteous indignation if we didn't love reading about the wacky adventures of Shaky week in and week out. No one here is blaming the colorist/artist, just letting off some steam. Certainly we all appreciate what a fantastic run this has been. Give us our sour grapes. I think we've earned them :)

    @111111
    How about Theresa drifts to shaky, he kisses her and starts to turn. But he just changes into your average rapekill crossed. So... Theresa kills him in order to save him and she is the one reading the diary at the end?

    Oh and @si, yes, we all love WYWH that is why we are all so vociferous in our grumbling. It's not in a mean way it's really an indication of how much we adore this comic! And we totally accept how flat out everyone involved is working. Big thank you to everyone!

    Three weeks! And we used to think it was hard waiting one week for the next episode. All I can say is 'remember the boring' so when we do get the next episode we will savour every panel rather than devour it in a ravenous couple of minutes

    This 3 week skip just gives me another opportunity to read all of WYWH again. No complaints can't wait to see how this wraps up!

    My way of dealing with announcements of skip weeks in things that I love (especially when it's more than one week) is to rage/complain in private to friends, wait a couple of days until the rage/compliant mood is gone, and then come back here and say "eh, it's alright. it's free after all :)"

    Also, random stuff:

    The other day I had a dream featuring a whacky, partly AU version of WYWH. in the end you found out that Teresa had taught self-control to some of her crossed SO well that they had more or less become, to all relevant effects, angry normal humans again (even going as far as covering their rash in order to represent how they abhorred the cross' nature. Teresa had also kept a diary hidden in some small shore village narrating her story ever since she had become crossed, and how she had been chosen to lead the poor angry bastards' souls back to a righteous and just path.

    Summary of the dream itself: Shaky had indeed thought he was going to die and therefore had written his final diary entry, but then he had been rescued by these human-like crossed (he couldn't take the diary with him, though), and taken to that village, where he lived among the angry bastards more or less "happily". Either Elisa or Tabitha had somehow survived the previous events and had been living in this place, so Shaky wasn't actually the only normal human around. Rab and everyone else's fates remained unknown, as they were last spotted trying to get away from the island, but being followed in the distance by some crossed.

    And some tough, vagabond human (think of a not totally mental Jackson) found Shaky's diary, and after reading it decided to change his lonely wandering around killing stuff for the "joy" of normal human drama, realizing that sure, he had become a perfect survivor in the apocaliptic world, but he had also become heartless and missed having friends and all that stuff that came with other people as company, and decided to join the first group of survivors he'd come across (revealed eventually to be a bunch of people living in a ship, much like the driftfleet's kind)

    when I woke up, I rated the dream "lol,wtf"/10 xD

    Last week I spent about two hours on my post here, only to lose the whole bloody thing on a "time out" sign back in bollocks nonsense. Verily did my blood boil, and my curses rained down upon . . . . . well, everyone. But thanks Si, not much gets me worked up enough to even spend two hours on a post, let alone reach the magnitude of invective I did spew after losing it. This three week break will give me time to prepare the most tl;dr set of ridiculous and far fetched predictions to date, (and there have been a few) Thoroughly enjoying Disenchanted too. Keep up the good work.

    It's a few weeks wait for the end run of a great free comic ... IMO, the best Crossed story arc aside from Garth Ennis' initial story. Reading the grumbling comments on here just makes me squirm with embarrassment. Enjoying the comic means supporting the creators ... whining about short delays isn't a show of appreciation for their efforts.

    Oh for Christ's sake. Si isn't doing this for free and neither is Avatar. Many of us have enjoyed WYWH enough to go Badlands in the store or on comiXology. Which is the point. Si is a grown man and can take it if somebody eexpresss disappoint at a delay. Avatar screwed up, and the sky won't fall because we say so. Quit being grovelling fanboys.

    @BigSven

    Whoa, whoa, whoa. Dude, calm down. It's fine to be disappointed about a delay, it's in our nature as fans, but to start accusing the creative team of "screwing up" for something so minor and calling people that are trying to be civil "groveling fanboys" is completely out of line. Don't be a coward -- you wouldn't say this to anybody's face in real life, so don't say it here.

    Right, bored of this now.

    Sven: you're being abrasive and rude. You're right that I'm perfectly happy for people to expresses disappointment as a result of their enjoyment of a work. On the other hand I'm involved in a longform piece of fiction whose creators have been working harder - for longer - than you can imagine, and I won't permit ignorant whiners to accuse them of "screwing up" when a break enters the schedule. That's not expressing disappointment, that's Being An Over-Entitled Obnoxious Git. And, lest we forget, on the other other hand I'm also a mod of this forum with a duty to make sure people play nice. When you start slinging blanket insults at your fellow users one starts to wonder why the fuck you're here in the first place.

    I'm not going nuke this thread, I'm not going to deploy the urethral attack maggots, and I'm not going to ban you. You're disappointed and thoughtlessly lashing out, is how I choose to see it. Please prove me right. First and last warning.

    (Dannykat - I'm with you, in sentiment, but to a lesser-extent I'd ask that you be careful too. Name calling, no matter how justified, never made a problem go away.)

    I am going to close this thread, because it doesn't show Whitechapel at its usual polite gregarious best.
