Hey Photomagex, nice manipulations! That was my first experience with the R72 filters and I didn't suffer from horrible noise at all. I can only assume it's a sensor thing, the 5d mkiii handles the necessary high ISO's very well indeed. Saying that, I was enjoying being able to achieve 20 second exposures during the day, so a lot of the time the ISO was between 100-400.
I was using the Hoya filters if that helps.

Christ, I miss England. I just want to move to Sheffield or something.

    I went to the Aquarium.

The 'wolds! My home turf. Thanks for those, the first gave me a genuine shiver of..home.

I stuck a load of stuff up on Picfair and got all featured in their 'weekly picks' blog. Swelly head.
Also got shortlisted for a roving exhibition entitled 'wildlife of the world' by these guys. Extremities crossed.

Couple more of Iceland just cos.

Jehrot - It must be the sensors because that is the exact same filter I use. Iceland is a beautiful and wondrous place. I hope to visit someday. Please keep up with the photos.

Jellyfish are lovely. At a distance. Or with a thick glass pane between them and us.

    Some phone pics:

(Context: Due to Hurricane Marie the tides in Southern California have been insanely strong for the past week or so, and scoured away the sand at the beach I frequent to a depth of around six feet, exposing a wrecked building that I had no idea was there)

This is the same beach a couple years ago

@roadscum: I know this is a bit off topic, but this is related to your fondness for trash bins and since I work retail I've seen these and each time I think of you.

@trini: I'm a big lad and it takes a lot to make me go SQUEEEEEE! and run around the room whooping like a mad man.

I think you should probably apologise to the people in the flat below me...
