Amen, Artemis. Focksnooze is a major source of bile. Any time I want to feel angry, yet superior, I turn it on and weep for the poor old folks who buy into it. I also laugh my ass off that O'Reilly thinks he has "morals". Ah, political outrage. One of the main sources of artistic inspiration for years and years.

As is often said, sanity is overrated.

i don't think sanity really exists...
everyone is fucked up in the head to some degree...at least everyone I've met :P

the goal of dating is to find someone who's crazy matches well enough with yours...
every relationship is based on finding people who's crazy meshes well with your own...
at least, that's my personal belief...:P
  3.  (119.46)
It's a good belief. As long as you don't find someone whose crazy breaks you or vice versa.

But, aye, people in general are as crazy as a bag of Jack Russels.

I agree with Admiral Neck, The Daily Mail is the single biggest threat to the progression of mankind.

If I had the time and resources I would start a website that took apart every damn article in that newspaper every day in a bid to bring to light the kind of horrible intolerant negative crap it perpetuates.

It's just so damn sneaky, it has all these great free gifts (it's bought in this house for the television guide) tons of womens lifestyle things and the odd interesting historical piece but is packed with veiled racisim, homophobia and stupidity. It's made to look like a broadsheet but is actually the second best selling newspaper in the country (behind the Sun, which is nearly as bad but doesnt take itself too seriously). I've known people to read it all thier lives but only notice how horrible it is until someone physically points it out for them.

    Gah

Corruption, apathy, bigotry, willful ignorence, politics, the fascist pricks that tell me what I should do with my life, mediocrity, pop music, the retarded idea that we need to fit into pretty labels, country music, and many other things I could name off if the other things I mentioned hadn't pissed me off already.

Personally, I blame it all on the modern country music.

Any product or marketing strategy of Apple Computers, Inc and a large portion of their userbase. Idiots, the wilfully uneducated and the discourteous, in equal measure. Random inequities, persistent stupidity on the part of people or organisations that should know better and thoughtlessness. Especially thoughtlessness.

My colleague at the hostel I sometimes work at. It's a place for homeless people with mental health problems. They need to abide by certain standards to maintain their place, and it's a pretty easygoing environment for the most part. One resident, G, has consistently stretched the boundaries with his behaviour since he moved in, harassing other residents for money, maintaining an obvious amphetamine habit, and so on. And he'd been pulled up many times about these midemeanours. And things reached a point where he was asked to leave. Make no mistake, I support that decision. But, it also became apparent that the paperwork necessary to help G move on to a flat of his own had not been done in the two years of his stay at the hostel. Not good practice at all. And my colleague genuinely believes it's better to kick G out now, and see him end up at a far scarier hostel where 70% of the residents have a crack habit, than let him stay for another month at our place to let us rectify the paperwork situation that we've created and sort out a flat for him to live in on his own. Yes, G is an arse of the first order, make no mistake of that -- but the reality of his situation seems finally to be provoking awareness of the necessity of change on his part. But for my colleague, stuck as he is in wrongheadedness, change seems impossible.

Stupid tiny annoying tiny inconsequential but really really annoying things piss me off. I don't vent immediately.... I'm like a platforming character, but instead of collecting coins or rings, I collect little annoyances until the 'LEVEL UP' noise sounds and I end up ranting about something that makes everyone blink and ask me if I'm okay.

Oh, anything, really. The only thing that doesn't make me want to gouge my own fucking eyes out and let doberman's fuck my frontal lobe is good comedy and quality writing.

That's not fully true, I could be specific: Whiny music about whiny people, the writer's strike (c'mon, give 'em the fucking money and let's see some new Daily Show!), every politician in any office except those being outed as closeted gays, whiny stories or comics or television about whiny people, college students (that's right, fuck you), the words 'I want grandkids' coming from either of my parents' mouths, and much like the post above me all manner of cloying inanities that slowly build into a tense, ranting hatred of the world at large.

However, looking at pictures of mopeds will allay all of those things, at least temporarily. So the bright light of hope shines eternally from the two-stroke. Just sayin'.
