Really badly mixed, in that it's not mixed at all, just set to follow through. Lack of equipment is made of fail.
Done up in a fit of black humour, to commemorate the Victorian Bushfires of DOOM that currently rage through my state.
Might be remixed once I get my equipment back. Currently at 88:56 1) This Fire - Franz Ferdinand 2) Fire it up - Black Label Society 3) Fire in the head - The Tea Party 4) Burn in Hell - Twisted Sister 5) Through the fire and flames - Dragon Force 6) Death in Fire - Amon Amarth 7) Burning Inside - Ministry 8) Blood & Fire [Out of the Ashes Mix] - Type O Negative 9) Feuer Frei – Rammstein 10) Pompeii - E.S. well, here we go again -- a mix I've been promising a long long time now!! it's another "for the kids at work" mix -- straight out of the Van Bowlski Institute...
in the tradition of the "Van Bowlski Brothers" and "Caveman on Campus" — this one is straight up chaos and all over the map… includes classic rock, hip hop, some punk rock and a whole bunch of bootleg mash-ups. filled with inside jokes, over the top profanity and spoken word samples — what else could you ask for?!
as Anto Greencheese would say... "it's not kid safe!!"
many thanks to Jimbalaya (for another kick-ass instrumental intro track), Jonathan Hanst (custom voice work), DJAW (additional scratching), John Wu (Japanese translations), Alan Wong (the youtube promo video) and my brother, the dirt-dog for more bang on graphic work on my covers...!

And another Valentape , based on love in all its misery , confusion , and occasional glory.
Didn't manage to do a lovely setlist like Cassandra , but it includes songs by Julian Cope , T-Model Ford , Pulp , Jeffrey Lewis , Sandy Denny , The Raincoats and Swans.
Those who are hating the cosy fest of February 14 or just need to listen to a hateful racket should skip to the last five minutes or so of the entertainment , where Whitehouse will shout at you for a while. All the best xx
If there's a Saturday Night Open Mic, it would be brilliant if somebody wanted to drop into the Whitechapel Chatroom (link is to the left from the main screen) and drop some links to some mixes, to sort of give it a real-time party kind of feel.
Brilliant modernist DJ's will of course be at home on Saturday nights because their info-clones will be off in the Ether doing their DJ duties for them.
Dont know if this counts as a DJ mix, as it's not mixed, and it's not all music. Probably answered my own question there!
This is me on Fleet FM in Auckland, I'm guesting alongside Def Jam poet Nikki Patin and the host of the show, Shane Hollandz. We played some good spoken word / hip-hop tracks and drank a lot of whiskey, also did some accapella poetry. Enjoy!
I just started doing a Tuesday night indie club at Korova in Liverpool, and although it's a little more mainstream than most of the mixes here, I thought I'd pop up the set-list

HOLY SHIT LOOK WHO'S BACK (me). Released with love for my Whitechapel brethren and sis... sisthren. Haven't even put up a page on my own site yet.
Extra-long and super-slick! This one cooks from the get-go, so do give it a taste. Quite obviously my best mix yet. Quite possibly the best mix ever made??? Featuring a fuckin' boatload of awesome songs from the first quarter of '09. Fuck that P-fork BULLSHIT, we got the real shit right here.
A drastic departure from my usual restrained, small-town style, this mix has nothing but something for any motherfucker what has ears, but still bears two fine, brand-new examples of the world-famous Handsome Vases "Half-Assed Audio Montage Moments".
Few new mixes have been added this month...if u are into house music, come check me out. Like Freakangels, it's free and can be addicting.

I am going to put a mix up here bi-weekly until I run out of steam. I'm back w/ a recording of a live set from last Sat. It's got a glitchy into and then whoa boy hold on to your glowsticks. The transition is abrupt so I split it between two tracks.

I both loved and hated your playlist. Loved because you included some of my current favorite bands. Hated because I considered making a mix, but it would have included some of the same songs. I purposefully did not read any lists past the first page to remain untainted (taint free?) in my selection process, but "bloc party" caught my eye and I was gone. So, I am going to rethink my current musical purpose and redress this issue in the future.
I used to spin two nights a week at an industrial /goth joint once upon a time. I believe that strips away an DJ cred with which I would hope to enter into this thread, but I am seeking redemption. Songs I NEVER played, EVER:

NOT a Playlist, or Anti-playlist
(I do quite like other songs by these bands except for the first one, but song burnout is a hard way to go)
Cry Little Sister (why do many idiots think that this Lost Boys soundtrack song is the Sisters of Mercy? Because the title has 'sister' in it? ) Nemesis by Shriekback - the WORST gothic line dance, goose two-step 'seig heil' song ever. Bela Legosi's Dead - if there is a goth cliche, it's this song. The Vampire Song - Concrete Blonde (the V:TM LARP theme song. No thanks) Just Like Heaven - No happy songs by the Cure--that defeats the purpose. She Sells Sanctuary - No car commercials (Nissan) How Soon Is Now? - see above Every Day is Halloween - Ministry (because that Ministry choked on its own fecal matter and died) Rigor Mortis - A Split Second; I got into a fight with the band, their roadies, security, etc. I won, by the way. This is Halloween - Nightmare before Xmas (fart) Blue Monday/Bizarre Love Triangle - New Order (overplayed) Front 242 - Headhunter (and it's "Hey Poor B-side)(overplayed) Xian Woman - Type O Neg (after they covered Hedvig, it made the rest of their catalog useless) Beloved - VNV Nation (because no one wants to see a goth cry. OK, that's not true) Temple of Love (the 'fucked by the voice of Ofra Haza' extended day and a half long remix) (Ofra Haza was immensely talented, her songs are fine. I like mint, I like chocolate, but put them together and it makes me vomit. Same thing with Ofra Haza and Sisters of Mercy) Closer - NIN (Absurd=the way people dance to this song when it gets to "I wanna fuck you like you're flammable," I mean "like an animal") You Suck - Yeastie Girls (see above but with reference to all the lyrics, as the ladies dance in such a way as to invite oral sex, and the little boys wrap around and cling to them like another layer of spandex in such a way as to respond "I'll do it!") I sit on Acid - Lords of Acid (see two lines above but with reference to "sit on my face") Personal Jesus - Depeche Mode (I like most of their songs, just not that one)
So, there you have it, a setlist that happens damn near weekly at most one night a week goth/industrial/80s retro/polka breakdance house clubs, but not here and not by me. Feel free to retire more songs into an anti-playlist, because there is nothing worse than an overplayed, pavlovian race to the dancefloor, dance by the numbers, bad song. amen
Godspeed! You Black Emerpor - intro to Dead Flag Blues Vex'd - Destruction Ruckspin - Hornz Boxcutter - Brood Dj Distance - Replicant Moving Ninja - Kemancheh Burial - You Hurt Me Intex Systems - Titan (Scuba remix) Elemental - Sparkle (Boxcutter remix) King Midas Sound - Surround Me Burial - Forgive Godspeed! You Black Emerpor - outro to Dead Flag Blues
P.S. - I think the file is an .wma P.S.S - I'm too lazy to fix it.
