I'm a smoker and here in America I smoke Marlboro Menthol Lights. I realized that I know nothing about cigarettes in other countries except for Silk Cut from England from reading John Constantine. I don't even know what Silk Cut means. Any other smokers around the world and what do you smoke?

Ten years ago, unfiltered Turkish Camels. I'm a quitter though.

No one likes a quitter. I used to smoke those. I still occasionally indulge in unfiltered Lucky Strikes, among my favorite tobacco in mainstream cigarettes. I also like handrolls, Bali Shag is a good one, fine, fresh moist tobacco. And Nat Shermans, when I can find and afford them.

American Spirits. Used to smoke their Perique brand, but my lungs started to sound like a carburetor that had been beaten with heavy sticks. I restrict myself to the Full Flavored ones. I honestly can't smoke anything else ; had a Marlboro off an acquaintance a few months back and I could taste the fucking preservatives. Horrible metallic-chemical tang on my lips and tongue for hours after.

B&H Special King Size, the little coffin nails are tasty, damnit.

I used to smoke a Korean brand called Hanaro, apparently a holdover from the days of occupation. Anyone who saw exactly what I was smoking asked if I was a grandpa.

Fifteen years ago I scored an unopened pack of Russian cigarettes. Fuckers tasted like woodchips dipped in copper shavings -- I couldn't even finish one.

Ooh! That reminds me, I once had official North Korean cigarettes. Avoid them like the plague. They're like instant hangover sticks.

I used to smoke Camels or Djarum Black when I could get hold of them (usually in Holland, they were impossible to get in the UK. No idea if that is still the case).

Never touch any of them now though.

Funniest and worst pack of cigarettes I ever found was Tough Guy brand. 99 cents at a flea market. Other than occasionally indulging in those as a joke for a night out, I stick to the cowboy killers.

i smoke midget cigarettes (marlboro light 72s) or kamel reds. i have had silk cuts (yes, i made someone bring me half a carton because of hellblazer...nerd) and a few different brands of japanese cigarettes that i cant recall the name of. the funniest thing i have seen is when swedish rocknrollers stayed with me and left behind a pack of their camels, which were labeled "smooth american blend".

God I just quit smoking today.

    I hate you all.

But, to stay on topic, I have smoked these gnarly {yes gnarly} black cigs from Mexico that had a grim reaper on the front.

Tasted horrible, but the cigs themselves were black with vibrant red dotted lines making a cool pattern.

You couldn't really inhale, but damn they looked cool.

silk cuts are just a brand of cigarettes. not really anything special, the ones i had. just a bit harsher than a marlboro red, i guess.
  5.  (1218.14)
Silk Cut harsher than Marlys? Leave off. They taste like air. Crap, horrible cigarettes. Only acceptable if the filters are ripped off.
I smoke Lucky Strike Reds, and make it a point to never be empty. You know that guy who always has smokes on him? Thats me. I think the entire population of my town owes me one, from some point or another.
Unfortunatly, if one one of those rare occasions I find myself at my parents, and caught short as it were, I am forced to decided between the afformentioned Silk Cut, or go for unfiltered Gitanes. Which taste like smoking by sucking it throgh an empty, old, petrol can. An entirly unplesant experience.

I used to smoke Marlboro Lights, and I miss them every day.

Back when I was a wicked ironic urban grungedweller, I found a pack of Black Death cigarettes at my local Store 24; the pack was black with a death's head on it.

    The cigarettes sucked.

I started out on unfiltered Lucky Strikes, and they're probabaly my all-time favorites. Unfortunately, I have an overriding fear that my heart will explode in my chest someday, so I've been scaling back the intensity of my smokes over the years. I moved to Camel Lights, and have now learned to enjoy the Camel Infused ones that have recently come out. I've always been interested in trying out some non-American brands like Silk-Cuts or Gitanes (thanks mostly to Hellblazer and Lupin III, sadly enough).

If an unlit Gauloise ever starts lurching across the sidewalk at you, run from it. Also, scream so that it can't get anyone who wasn't looking. When I was in Greece and couldn't get my brand I settled on Pente Filtros. The Greek cigarettes all had numbers for names, and maybe I even understood why, then. But it was oh so long ago.

My local tobacconist sells some fantastic Dutch and Russian tobacco's by the ounce and, as a rule, I avoid filters. My Balinese friend comes into town every six months or so and will smuggle in a consignment of these massive filterless handrolled cloves that I fell in love with...enough tar in each little cancer causing, lung crunching one to pave about eight miles of interstate.

As a means of eulogizing my smoking habit: I have tried, in no particular order, Winston lights, full flavor, and blacks special edition, Marlboro reds, lights, menthol, milds, and blend 26 or whatev, Camel all brands, including unfiltered, Lucky Strike unfiltered, and filtered lights and full flavor, a strange tasting brand used in a government supported (US) health survey test thingie that had no name or label, Magic dreams mocha, russian blend, vanilla and *shudder* cotton candy flavor. Any number of cheap bargain off brands, and probably everything in between whilst bumming from other smokers. My personal favorite, and the brand I shall miss immensely whilst I'm attempting yet again to quit, has been and will always be Kamel Reds

By far the oddest brand/cigarette I've tried, however, was a pack of Ginseng cigarettes sold by a going-out-of-business tobacconist chain in my local mall, couldn't even finish a centimeter of one o those, and they are second only to the cotton candy flavored atrocities in my book of "worlds worst smokes"
