@MagicSword and @taphead: I like Z-Vex effects: they're tiny, pack well, make original deltas in the sound processing, and the batteries last a notable fraction of forever. @taphead: A couple of months ago I started wondering what the bow hears that doesn't get heard by us because there's no resonant cavity or pickups on that side of the bow/strings connection, so I mic'd a bow to find out. To avoid taking up space in this thread with discussion that's not relevant to the Self-Portrait topic, I pulled together a page Bowlisten on my site that expands on the topic. -

Re: glasses, believe it or not these actually came this way - from spexxx.com but they'd only made a a couple of there and are sold out. Nonetheless they have plenty of great stuff. -
