Love this new album/EP collection/whatever it is after giving it a few listens.
Although, one of the songs (5 Ghosts I) sounds like the turk's theme from Final Fantasy VII, it's a bit distracting.

I'm having a time out until I can learn some manners.
Brian Viglione details his role on the new album. Mostly drumming on improvised instruments, which I'm a sucker for.

Just finished listening to the album--not the greatest thing ever, but certainly pretty damn awesome.

@Paul: yes. I was wondering why that song was giving me crazy nostalgia.

Downloaded and listened to four of the tracks so far. Number 3 is probably my favorite thus far. All of them make for very, very good white noise music for use while working, and I can really appreciate that.

    Thanks, Trent.

THAT is going to be awesome. I can't wait to see what people come up with.

It does seem to be a kind of starter, doesn't it? I like that you can just run the tracks however you wish, and let the images and impressions come to you. The fact that the tracks aren't numbered, like Trent stated in the video on the Youtube channel, doesn't limit the listener as far as what each piece is "about".

I also dig how it seems Trent's looking for more of a collective; he's still in control of what goes on, bt the barrier between creator and consumer doesn't disappear, necessarily, but it certainly is changing, and I think for the better.

Well, so far most of the submissions have been kinda.."ehh.."

This is the one I've liked best:

As far as the rest of the videos, I know the music fits, but if I see another montage of a forest or a lake, or some guys drive to work, I'll go crazy. Here's hoping the best is yet to come

That's awesome--I don't know a thing about video, but I might try to make a short story or do something with it. I like the one that's posted here, though it doesn't exactly fit with what I imagined, but hey, it's supposed to be subjective, right?

I think the best ones so far have been the videos that have been subjective. Right now, most people aren't being very original. They're just using 1Ghosts I and filming their neighborhood out of their car. Or 12 Ghosts II and doing a nature montage.

I love how in the Night of the Living Dead one, you start rooting for the zombie to just break that damn window out, and you almost feel bad when she drives away

Let me amend my statement: I can't wait to see what the people who actually know film come up with.

And thank your lucky stars that even at this point we've seen more than "Naruto" videos set to 3 Ghosts I.

I knew when this was announced that there would be an influx of badly-thought-out, cliché ridden videos, or stuff from people who rushed out and filmed anything so they could be one of the first to upload something. I am expecting lots of 'artful' film with out-of-focus shots and things filmed from wonky angles. I kind of feel sorry for the guys who will have to sift through millions of entries like that. Still, there might be some really cool stuff as well.

Ha ha, I hope there are some Jackass-style videos made for this. The contrast between some of the soft dream-like music and images of people getting hit in the balls would be good. I would pay to see NIN performing with that projected on a massive backdrop.

I must admit: I am a sucker for dumb, drunk people getting hurt in the groins.

I really like this album, nd hopefully i'll be able to compete in the movie contest.

But, with art, not ball kicking. But then again, who says ball kicking isnt an art?
