    Finally don't have to rely on Come In Alone for fix.

    The chief's back, but I think the incident has raised the question: to what extent are we ever truly 'offline'. Posts at homepage were almost daily, and obviously the phone/internet connection was live..

    I hope the PC debacle comes to a reasonable conclusion, but I will miss the bouts of madness reflected in progressive music criticism. Some great references to your collections in the stuff you rediscovered! Did you ever build the houses of toenail clippings?
    Oh, and Freakangels is really hookin me in, nice one.

    It was a full-on trendy bar in Portland across the street from the Doug Fir, which is the big trendy club actually. Turns out the commiserators were employees at <a target="_blank" href="http://freegeek.org/">FreeGeek</a>, but certainly not Trekkies.

    FreeGeek is a great outfit. I tried volunteering, but triaging old PCs got to be too depressing.

    The only people I know who volunteer for FreeGeek use it as a resource to grab freelance coding jobs.

    EDIT: Also, welcome back Warren. I truly enjoyed the coconut banter.
