So, what else are you looking forward to this week?
I'm having a time out until I can learn some manners.
Most of the Vertigo comics mentioned above (<em>Scalped</em> is quickly turning out to be one of the best things Vertigo has ever published and any new David Lapham material is going to be worth a look) as well as <em>Pax Romana</em> #2 are most definitely on my list. I hope <em>Dead Space</em>, both the comic as well as the game, turn out to be really good; the latter seems genuinely ambitious.
As far as superhero stuff goes, I'm still keeping my eye on <em>Midnighter</em>, and I'm curious to see what BKV does with <em>Logan</em>, which at the very least, seems to have memorable artwork by Eduardo Risso. Also looking forward to seeing how <em>Penance: Relentless</em> finishes and <em>Cable</em> #1 turns out. The first issue of <em>X-Force</em> was good enough to warrant checking out the second one coming out this week too.
And then there's <em>Casanova</em> #12, of course.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer Northlanders Casanova The Boys Streets of Glory Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad (although this may wait until my local anime/manga shop gets it in, which usually seems about a week later than everyone else)
The first issue of Echo, the new Terry Moore book, comes out this week as well.
Jog pointed out that a 9.5" x 13" edition of Service Industry by T. Edward Bak is sneaking into comic stores this week, too. Mr. Jog called the book "a really fine mix of autobiography, philosophy, politics, fantasy, allegory, low-paying grunt work and infinite longing from artist T. Edward Bak, a dense blend of shifting styles and swirling color & ash." Here are internet images.
Has anyone heard when the release date is on Rasl by jeff smith? I saw a review on newsarama and wasn't in my box at the comic shop yet was wondering if it came out.
End League #2, from dark horse. I absolutely must recommend this book.
And then
Green Lantern Cable Moon Knight Penance: Relentless Punisher: War Journal Secret Invasion Saga (I'm a sucker for anything with words written above the title) Twelve X-Force
Funny, I was sure I had more I was going to buy then that...
EDIT: By the way, are we going to get a place to put reviews? I know there was some discussion of it a week or two ago.
That's a pretty big week for me, and I'm looking forward to each and every one of those books. Young Liars looks great. The only thing better would be more goddamn Stray Bullets. And Scalped is quickly becoming one of my favorite books month after month.

I can't wait to read the new David Lapham's comicbook. I don't know what to think of the new era at vertigo, northlanders is good but it lacks of something (the same for DMZ Brian Wood is a little overrated for me), vinyl underground, the last issue was very good, but I'm not fond of the first four, the first arc was weak in my view. the two series I dig these days in the "mature readers" side of dc comics are Scalped and Army@love, these are the two reasons I still read vertigo comics. I hope this Young Liars will be as good a read as Rasl by Jeff Smith was last week.
