Just thought it'd be fun to see what artists are influencing other artists or even non-artists or those creatives somewhere between the two. So favorite and most influential artists for you at the moment. I'll start it off:
NC Wyeth Maxwell Parish James Jean Alphonse Mucha Mike Mignola Chris Bachalo Gustave Doré
As a relentless non-artist, my real influence these days can be find at Bibliodyssey and Monster Brains blogs. These exquisite / weird / glorious imagery is my first Internet reference these days. But besides there are some others: - The crude creations by Jose Feitor at Imprensa Canalha, a Portuguese comic creator; - The Jules Verne editions by Hetzel, with great illustrations (my cheap Le Château des Carpathes edition provided by Livre de Poche) - These Roland Topor figures. - Wellsian "War of the Worlds" stuff.
Jack Vance Linus Torvalds GRRM Paul Graham Ritchie and Kernighan Steve Wozniak Nikola Tesla Alan Moore George Boole MZD Douglas Hofstadter Edsger Dijkstra
NC Wyeth JC Leyendecker Frank Frazetta Michael Kaluta Jeffry Jones Barry Windsor-Smith Berni Wrightson Alan Lee Charles Vess William Stout Adam Hughes Jon Foster Marko Djurdevic Andrew "Android" Jones Craig Mullins B. Bjorker Eriksson Mike Mignola Paul Pope Yoshitaka Amano Gez Fry
