    So, for other various outlets I went through the sometimes mind-numbing task of compiling a dreaded "Year end best-of " list. Figured there would be enough variety of people on here that we could get some strange entries. here's mine:


    1) Ampere/ Ringers split 6" (emoviolence/rocknroll)
    2) Dear Landlord/ Chinese Telephones split 7" (pop music for people with beards)
    3) Hot Cross- Risk Revival LP ( the kings of the east coast indie/hardcore)
    4)Warkrime- Give War A Chance 7" (old school "we're a bunch of dicks" hardcore)
    5)Graf Orlock- Destination Time: Tomorrow 10" (movie nerd grindcore)
    6)Mika Miko-666 12" ep (hipster all female art damage that could be from 1976)
    7)George Moshington- seventeen seventy-fuck you 7" ( the colonial circle pit mayhem)
    8)Get Destroyed 7" (phoenix power violence returns)
    9)Threatener-...and the bending of the throats 7" ( inhuman opening track...fastcore!)
    10) J Church- The Horror of Life 12" (the final release fromthe best pop punk band ever....RIP Lance)

    cmon....who else has opinions. i know we are a bunch of nerds.

    Well Hell's bells. Been out of touch for so long.

    Oddly, found some old Cringer vinyl the other day in one of my boxes. Weird. RIP indeed.

    I'm going to cheat and make exceptions for an album or two that're really good but haven't gotten vinyl pressings yet.

    1. Down - III: Over the Under"
    2. Living Hell - "The Lost and the Damned" LP
    3. Type O Negative "Dead Again"
    4. Frightener/Pulling Teeth split 7 inch
    5. Ringworm - The Venomous Grand Design (waiting for the LP to come out!)
    6. Electric Wizard - Witchcult Today (awesome to see these guys back with some killer new stuff)

    Tons of stuff that I love got great re-issues this year too, but I guess those don't count

    damn, i had to miss frightener and pulling teeth in phoenix a few weeks ago. it was the same night as iron lung and the agents of abhorrence. dammit!

    also: reissues in fact do not count. otherwise the "best of 2007" list would look like it came from 1980-1985, hahaha.

    I think I only bought one vinyl this year, the latest Sunn O))) album.

    Other than that my two favourite albums so far, in a year of some really great shit coming out:

    I missed Frightener when they came through because of all the holiday stuff going on around here, so I still haven't gotten to see them yet. The split and the LP they put out both rip though.

    We're playing with Pulling Teeth on Friday, it should be a lot of fun.
