Plus details on the new Ennis/Burrows project, and more. Comics Continuum is the first out of the box with details of the panel.

    Thank God.

Been skimming updates and didn't hear anything about Avatar. (Which I find disappointing.)

    All exciting news.

Black Summer, Anna Mercury, then this. It sounds like Warren is going to have a continual "second monthly" (in addition to one off projects) at Avatar so to speak.

Trades! This is good, very good.

I see a bigger chunk of my comic-buying budget going towards Avatar this year and beyond.

That was some good news from the front. More Avatar is better.

Sounds great. I can't wait to hear more about these announcements.

I'm having a time out until I can learn some manners.
Most of the announcement sounds like business as ususal, but there is one item that people should note - that Avatar is at least trying something new and is attempting to make the webcomics-to-print business plan actually work. That's not to say there aren't other webcomics creators who've made their individual books financially viable, but this appears to be pretty much the first time a creator with a demonstrated ability to sell well in print turned away from the standard print serial to book model. It's surprising more people aren't talking about that.
