REZ is so good, i have a burned copy of it on dreamcast. in fact, the dreamcast is fucking fantastic if you (or in my case, my brother) know how to hunt down the right stuff. well, its also amazing for all of the great games that came out on it. i could list a whole page with just DC and saturn games that are unknown.
PuzzleQuest!, also hunt down the game that finally got me to breakdown and get a xbox... Dead Rising free form battling zombies in a shopping mall with pies and chainsaws, how can you not love it. Bioshock was good but ultimately was a little bit to much on rails for me.
I'd like to back up support of Team Fortress 2. It has some of the most stunning game design I've ever had, and it really leverages cooperation as the main attraction of online play. I've made some good pals over TF2.
My tag is -- obviously -- vrbtm, if anyone wants to get blown up.
I'm looking forward to LEFT 4 DEAD and Fable 2 very much as well.
I should like to point out that, like in all online games, there are people within it who truly have no life other than their chosen game and take their gameplay a little too seriously. Prepare to be made fun of when you first start out. Or even better if you have friends to play with, do that.
I'm looking forward to finishing Fable 2 as well. Although not so much today, given I have to work on a sodding bank holiday. I hope you're all grateful when we're done :)
If you can get enough people together, LOST PLANET is quite fun. HALO 3 is great. My brother once played CALL OF DUTY 3 (set in WWII) against a person who'd chosen the tasteful gamertag "six million more." Hm.
Conversely, I'd avoid Blue Dragon. Matters of cuteness and story are largely up to each individual, but beyond all that the combat system and situations are just too damn repetitive to justify dozens of hours of gameplay.
Buy Call of Duty 4 - amazing alone, multiplayer or live :] bioshock is also amazing, its made the wrench my weapon of choice for future attacks if you want something softer, eternal sonata is pretty cute, but tedious
"Lost" is an easy 1000 gamerpoints if you can afford to lose 5-6 hours of your life... My excuse is it was bought for my birthday... but that didn't stop me taking it back to the shop!
