William: yeah, but I can't bloody smoke in Chicago!
  2.  (1493.82)
Warren: It is being worked on. They know, easy smoking means you are happy. A happy Warren talks much longer. Anyway, the booze is for me if nothing else, I have to run this fucking huge show... See, while you suffer on stage, Jacen, Mike, Dave, Ariana and I will all get shitfaced and smirk.

Ah, I was sober even in the WEF days. Never did dare to attend a drink-up. I'd forgotten all about that actually.. wow.. now *I* feel old.. I'm blaming that memory lapse on the pneumonia.

I also like how the tagline "one of comic's most innovative minds" sounds more like how Reed Richards would describe Dr. Doom to someone. Given Wizard's usual fanboy gush, Warren didn't get a "hot writer" or "beloved comic legend" tag, he got the one that means they're a little bit scared of him, which is how it should be.

    Shitbag.

This, people, is why YOU SHOULD NEVER TRUST A PUBLISHER.

It means they're not even sure why I'm there.

I think they expect you to smash cars or possibly eat cars. Its been awhile since I went to a convention.

    Jtraub:

The convention center is in the same suburb where they hold those indoor truck rallies/smash-em-ups.

If Warren just sidles up the road a bit there's a whole arena to destroy.

    And some fine steak houses.

Here's the scan, for your viewing pleasure.

Still a great photo; it is, indeed, a rare appearance.

Edit: it occurs to me Warren looks like some sort of children's party magician or clown in that picture. You can almost see the balloon animals.

oh god thats that picture that he hates with him holding all the pencils isnt it!

I remember him mumbling about world class photographer and all they use is the pisstake photo at the end.
