Why were the people in the Sicko waiting room either naked or wearing only a scarf as they waited for medical attention? And can you imagine how much Michael Moore must have weighed at the beginning of their wait if he's still that chunky after a delay that stripped the flesh from the bones of those around him?
With that said, I really enjoyed both Roger and Me and Bowling for Columbine.
I think maybe the idea is that he's just arrived but he can see that he's got a long wait ahead of him. I haven't seen Sicko myself, I'm in two minds about Michael Moore, I generally agree with his point of view but find the way he says it really irritating.
& let's not forget about Bill Maher's most important contribution to "film"
And yes. It really does say Cannibal Women in the Avocado Jungle of Death (which is in southern California by the way)
Am I the only one who misses the old painted movie posters? I think they added that little something extra to the whole experience. I didn't post any because all of the good ones I remember were already posted.
@Varuker - I was amazed on a recent trip to Greece to see that cinemas there still do original painted billboard advertising, with the resident artists impression of Brad Pitt or whoever. Don't have any pictures on me but they were awesome, reminded me of being a kid living in Portugal, where you'd drive down the main street in Lisbon with a 60-foot high painting of Roger Moore looking down on you.
<strong>Johnmuth </strong>actually linked this one earlier: <img src="http://dailysportspages.com/thedump/images/postergroup.jpg" alt="" />
For <em><strong>Dark Knight</strong></em> posters, though, I prefer this one: <ul> <img src="http://www.filmbuffonline.com/uploaded_images/DarkKnightPoster-779409.jpg" alt="" /> </ul>
I prefer the 'story' of the second poster, if that makes any sense.
Can't see the second poster, Z. As for the first... nice idea, but I didn't like it much. I think it should be just Batman and Joker, as a symbol of their eternal battle or something. Also, the layout could have been more creative.
Well, the Joker one lost points because of it having Batman on the card...Honestly, my favorite of those three head shots is the Harvey Dent one. It's just the promise of knowing what's happening there...Granted that doesn't help to sell the movie to people that don't know who the fuck Harvey Dent is...but still.
@Z - I totally thought you were going to use this one: But, I love that one too!!!
