Is it me, or does that website not actually provide a date for the thing?
Oh, no... clicking on "Venue" provides the information. (22 March 2008 - Great Hall, Queen Mary University - Mile End - London - UK.) What a retarded website.
Dick Whittington says, “The streets of London are paved with gold.” But the road to London is paved only with travellers’ piss and trepidation.
From Cath Arctic’s excellent new mini comic, “Waterloo Teeth” – think: a historical piece like “From Hell” about London and done creatively as a mini-comic. The book was one of the highlights from yesterday’s show, which also included the Witch and Steve Butland's four-page mini “A Rock Story.”
Attendance and trade was brisk despite the rain. From speaking to fellow exhibitors in the pub afterwards, they had strong sales. It was reassuring to see crowds of people interested in different types of comics and new work.
It only started snowing this morning (Sunday) in London, I think. It pissed down yesterday morning with gales, though. I nearly took off as I was running with my A1 cardboard-backed poster art under each arm to the convention centre.
