And to be sort of geek-ish, hmm who would use twitter: Beast perhaps?

Golden Gate Park, huh? Will there be a giant golden space god standing around in the background?

In Neil Gaiman's Eternals miniseries, Golden Gate Park was revealed to be where a Celestial lives.

I think determining what social networks and WEB 2.0 gadgets the various X-men favor for personal use is much more interesting question at this time.

That is I expect a well written and incredibly well illustrated book (everyone look at Seven Soldiers: Shining Knight right this second. If that does not make your eyes drool you need to try again.), but do not expect answer to questions about it right now (or hell, want to know yet), but I can have stupid fun with the above topic since Rich got me thinking about it.

Yeah, I know, I am absurd sometimes (no I do not expect anyone else to talk about the above question - ok I lie, but I corralled it into blogs).

Don't know how useful this is, but: There's a chunk of the Peninsula, south of SF, that would a great place to hide stuff. It's a watershed / reservoir area off limits to all but a few rangers. I've read that there's a waterfall and abandoned houses and roads. I used to hike along the trail that runs along the other side of the Crystal Run reservoir; really beautiful area.

    why San Fran?

It's the new home city of the X-Men. Uncanny will be set in SF, too.

so, Warren didn't choose to relocate the X teams?

No, I didn't. I'm only writing one book. That call is the purview of the main X-book writers.

So what are the Ellis tropes? Well, no one smokes. There's only one phone call made. There's minor swearing. No one's British, let alone from Essex. There's some techy communication - Twitter gets a mention, but its appropriate to character. And there's a lot of use of the Moller Skycar as the X-Men's vehicular mode of choice - looks like the Blackberry version of the Blackbird.

That's funny - my drawing professor (you might know him, name of Tom Lyle, drew Spiderman and Batman in the mid-90's) was just pointing out his problem with your scripts in that you have these tropes. I'll have to point that out to him.

    Well, no one smokes.

Joe Q took away Wolverine's Cigars not Warren.

Thanks. Didn't mean teamS-Of course you can't control what the other X books do, I thought at first it was Just ASTONISHING X-MEN that was making the move to SF. also, I remembered your fondness for the city yourself.
I would love to visit SF.

I really hate it when good talent makes me buy X-MEN.

But I really think the decision is now out of my hands and will be purchasing every issue.

It isn't my fault. They're making me do it.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I imagine it never occurred to him that those are deliberate.

I hope he draws better these days.

I was already looking forward to this book anyway, and reading the little preview has just kept my interest and amped up my anticipation. I am a greedy, unpatient fan, I want Warren's book now!

As for the Twitter thing...I actually haven't investigated thi and don't know what it is as yet, but I had assumed it would be any younger character that would use (if Warren is keeping Armor from Whedon's run, or using Pixie as the young Kitty Pryde/Jubilee replacement like the other books are).

Looking forward to seeing more gorgeous art too, and it was nice to have some more hints as to who made the team, even if it does seem to have proven me wrong on one of my Skrull imposter theories.

    Damn, I'm excited.

Oh, and btw Warren, I gave my housemate your Transmetropolitan collections yesterday. He read them all in a day and he is wet for Spider these days. In fact, he was even hoping Spider would be on your X-team, lol
