I've been giving VNV Nation's "Judgment" album a second listen after dismissing it. It's funny how hearing a piece of music live can change your attitude towards it. It's still not their best stuff but some of it's quite good.
I listened to XPLODINGPLASTIX all last night at the urging of a dear friend, and I should listen to her more often.
Portishead has never not been awesome. I still have to stop and listen to "Wandering Stars" every time it pops up on my player.
In the car, Oingo Boingo's Farewell Album; I think it's disc 2.
Right now, a strange mix of things from Santana, Death at Dawn, Post Death Soundtrack, Oingo Boingo at the time when they were just Boingo, Enrico Caruso and all the 4am curations by Warren Ellis.
Plaid The Rapture (Pieces of the People We Love) Party Ben !!! ( Myth Takes) Infected Mushroom DJ Shadow (various - live & in studio) Gonzales ( Open Season, Gonzales Uber Alles, Presidential Suite, Solo Piano, White Gloves Concert) Leslie Feist (Enjoying Open Season and Let it Die - not so hot on The Reminder) The National (Boxer) Spoon (Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga)
Started the day of with the covers Radiohead did on their webcast and moved onto EP by Fiery Furnaces. Probably will go onto Spoon's Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga before I starting getting into Slint
The Cinnamon Band's 4-song CD EP (local), The Wiyos' second album, Hat Trick (lovely), Jawbreaker, always (long lost), and assorted Sondre Lerche (live in Vancouver, via YouTube).
The point not being for us to discuss stuff (we do that here), but to get charts and see what we're all listening to. I'll post this somewhere else I'm sure.
