I'm listening through possibles for my next podcast:
1. Action Camp - Best I Can Do (2:03) 2. kemper norton - Helston Music Fair 1992 (5:28) 3. The Poxy Boggards - Drink til I Die (3:40) 4. The Intelligence Community - Neutron Island BBQ (4:06) 5. Thorrific - TranceEndEverything (8:49)
I was recently introduced to "Signal To Noise" off the Peter Gabriel album UP and it's been in constant rotation for two weeks (the director of a production of TITUS ANDRONICUS played it for the cast and design team to give us a sense of the production's world).
I cannot get enough of the two recordings of "Von" off the new Sigur Ros EPs.
Marilyn Manson (SHUT UP HE IS AWESOME) has one good song on EAT ME DRINK ME, which I didn't realize until long after I'd first listened to and then discarded the album. The song is "Heart-Shaped Glasses".
The new Killers odds-and-ends collection is pretty damn decent so far. The song with Lou Reed ("Tranquilize") isn't disappointing!
I don't listen to anything whilst I'm at work, but getting annoyed with sports-talk radio on the way in this morning I popped in Love's Secret Domain by Coil.
Amarok's running on a randomly generated playlist right now. Jonathan Coulton's "The Future Soon" is currently playing, which was preceded by "Clap Hands" by Tom Waits.
Hmm... I tend to have my whole collection on random, then jump to an album when I find myself really appreciating a certain song. I'll list the next few things to come up:
IAMX - Skin Vision Godspeed You Black Emperor - Untitled track The Knife - We Share Our Mother's Health Plus-Tech Squeeze Box - Starship 6 Neurosis & Jarboe - Taker Mclusky - The World Loves Us and is Our Bitch
This Morn' Omina - Le Serpent Blanc, Les Passages Jumeaux: Le 25ième Degré ~ Die Warzau - Disco Rigido Airiel - The Battle of Sealand Rotersand - 1023 Swans - The Great Annhilator Faithless - Reverence
Still listening to New Magnetic Wonder by The Apples In Stereo way more than I think is healthy. That, the Lanterns In The Lake track on the4am from a few weeks back and the Wristcutters soundtrack.
