NOTES ON THIS COVER: the illustration is from "The Principles of Light and Color" by Edwin D. Babbitt, published 1878. The cover design idea was mine, but it took Ariana and Mark at Avatar a great many hours to improve it and make it actually, you know, work.

    A graphic novella, eh?

Prose with pictures, or sequential storytelling? Either way it sounds quite promising.

Only 48 pages? IsnĀ“t this overly compressed? Is this a "real" story or a pictured thesis like CRECY?

A graphic novella is just a short graphic novel, like CRECY.

The case of the man who wasn't there.

this looks very good, and (happy to say) yet more money to spend.

Very cool. I think I saw the cover image or something like it in a university textbook. Maybe I'll dig the old things out to see.

    that looks great. steampunk?

the lack of an artist name on the cover - although seconds later i saw the 'graphic novella' warning - made me think it was prose.
hope it doesn't allienate your comics crowd. they can read, i know.

Making further moves towards a creator driven market I see.
It's trad Novel design with the authors name up top and the largest. A great choice.
Echoes of Crooked Little Vein too. A Warren Ellis trade dress?

This is under the Apparat label, beginning of a new series of one-shots but in a new format?

Sold me with the title. Cool. I take it we are supposed to get the "the great detective and good doctor" vibe? Thank you for this in advance.
