Looks awesome, absolutely love the cover. After the awesome that was Crecy, this line of graphic novellas will be receiving my consistent purchases.

I can't make out who the artist is on this - my old man eyes fail me again. Who is drawing this devilry?
    • CommentTimeMar 31st 2008
My young man eyes tell me it is a gentleman named Gianluca Pagliarani. I'm sure the art will be excellent, but having never heard of the chap, I feel compelled to ask: Warren, I'm sure you've covered this before, but where do you find all these stunning artists?
  2.  (1623.27)
I do believe that is the lad from Wolfskin.
  3.  (1623.28)
the Wolfskin guy was spanish artist Juan José RyP

Gianluca Pagliarani is also doing the Wolfskin annual this summer.

Aetheric Mechanics: Brilliant cover, and sounds like a great concept - can't wait.

this sounds good- the ideas grab me in a way that CRECY never really did.

This may be a question you choose not to answer or chastise me for asking:

Why doesn't the publisher (or whoever makes the call) put the artist's name on the cover of this and Crecy?

Just curious. (And it does make me expect text only, but I am very dim)

    Looks great.

I like it, and can't wait to add to my list.

And if that's the final design, I can't imagine what you handed to Ariana and Mark. Poor things.

If I had never heard the name Warren Ellis, and even if there wasn't a description on the back, I'd still pick this up the moment I saw it based on that cover and title alone. That it is Warren just guarantees I'll love it.

Wait, July?! It's like, three months before that even starts... No, that doesn't work at all. I hereby declare that July follows March. April was always a useless month, anyway.

I really enjoyed the Crecy format, and this looks like it will be incredible as well

Looking forward to this. Your best work seems to be in the 48-96 page format (for me, anyway). Can't wait for more along these lines.
