    Hi all.

I have a 14 year old nephew that's read one book in his life. He thinks football players (The american ones) are gods, and smart people aren't very cool. He's never been exposed to the great authors and ideas that I read as a kid (Heinlein, Clark, etc..)..

But I don't think I can get him to jump into books at this point. But mabye comics? I'm looking for suggestions for comics that might inspire that sense of wonder, excitement, and mystery in a kid. Any suggestions?

    Thanks
    David

All Star Superman. It makes men cry, women swoon and childern grow up to be crazy cowboy/astronauts.

Seriously, it is without a doubt the most "inspiring" book on the helves right now.

I think you need to get him some .22 caliber aspirin (apply directly to the kneecaps as needed), but that's just the righteous in me. Try "Starship Troopers," as that has big burly men (like his beloved football players) shooting guns and killing things. See where that takes him.
