Thanks pi8you. I'm just ready for the winter to be OVER.. pretty sure I heard some good news on that front. Everyone is pretty friendly here.. that's nice.

Yeah, I've been around Ellisrelated boards in the past.. I just generally tend to not say much

don't really need to vie for that much attention.. just little bits here and there.

work for a "major university" press now learning about publishing - have done some interesting stuff for work previously.
been trying to read everything Ellis since Transmet. (Love the bowel disrupter).
I write comedy - comics, sketch comedy, sitcom - but never seems to make it off of the page / out of the mac.

My name is Kyle Tierce, but nowadays I'm predominantly known as Dr. Quandary. I was the most casual of comic readers -- I had always appreciated the medium but never fully immersed myself in it beyond Watchmen -- until this past summer, when my roommate let me borrow Transmetropolitan.

Needless to say, I've been hooked ever since, especially on Mr. Ellis' work because I think his writing is particularly excellent.

    And here's me:

Spinning Quanny Sitar at the Times Irish Pub

    So yeah... hey, everyone!

Hi, I'm Dan, in case you thought my username was lying. I've been reading webcomics since 2002 and they are what got me seriously back into print comics and altered my comic reading habits so I actually pay attention to who is writing them which led me to become a Warren Ellis fan so Freak Angels is like everything coming full circle.

    Hello, I'm Mike.
I've been a fan of Mr. Ellis's work since finding the first Transmet trade, and I've found I like almost everything he's done. (Just can't get into zombies...) He writes about things I enjoy reading about and does it in a way I enjoy.
I live in a far too conservative a city for my tastes, and am almost done with my nursing training. I have been reading threads on here for a few weeks, and decided I might like to indulge. I've found though, that I don't do well talking politics, in that I get too angry when people treat each other like crap, as happens far too often in those discussions. So, I'll be avoiding those discussions.
That all said, I'm hoping to have fun, and make anything I do say interesting.

    Hey everybody,
I'm paranoid so I shan't give my name. For any of you who are interested I think you can see my real name in my profile, that's primarily because along with being paranoid I'm also careless. Anyways, I've just had a friend of mine send me the old bastards manifesto and I was wondering if I could post it on my news(blog) section of my webcomic. I'm not entirely sure if it's kosher to provide my comics url in this posting, I'll just give the name...wait... well my comic's called how to be bulletproof. You see I didn't even make it bold or in quotes because I don't want to necessarily advertise my site, I just want to know if I can post the manifesto since...it is pure and true...and I'm a fan of manifestos in general. ALL SUPERHERO COMICS SHOULD STOP, at least for one year...hopefully longer. ALL OF THEM...EVERY ONE OF THEM! If throwing in my title's not allowed just delete this posting and I'll repost the question without it. But I wanted to see if you felt my site was worthy of posting the DOCTRINE, because it could very well be the case my webcomic is so, sooo, so incredibly bad that a double sized filler ANNUAL of HULK 2099 UNLIMITED would be far more tolerable than one or two pages of my thing. I hope this isn't what you meant about posting ideas...if you haven't figured it out, I'm an neurotic wreck. Indubitably yours...

    Hello, I'm Alasdair

I used to run a comic store, and now I'm a writer and journalist. I host Pseudopod (www.pseudopod.org), a weekly horror fiction podcast and I co-edit, along with Lee Harris and Troo Topham, a weekly genre fiction and non-fiction web-magazine called Hub (www.hub-mag.co.uk).

My name is Lorena and apparently I've decided to say screw all this nice weather crap and have followed the lure of yet another source of Ellis-ness.

    This is me.

I'm BAT (as close to my real name as you'll get).

I write, play games, and gorge myself on theater movies and life threatening fast food.

I haven't lived anywhere longer than three years of my life so I'm from all over (born in California, if that's important). Currently enrolled at NC State, but I'm not sure how much longer that will last. Going to go soul searching or some shit.

Three weeks ago I was telling old people to unplug their modems at a place called Nex-Tech. I have a bachelor's degree in communication from Fort Hays State University, not that I'm really doing anything with it. I wanna be a comic writer... Have posted some short stories at...

I'm Chris. I'm a web designer in Dallas, TX. My partner/husband/whatever owns a comic shop, so free comics for me.

Warren Ellis ruined turned me to comics four years ago when my partner dropped The Authority on my lap and told me to get reading.

My name is Whitey. I drink more than should be consumed by the average human. I read, I write, I rock. If you ever meet me, you will notice my pleasant demeanor, my uppity-yet sarcastic outlook on things, that my mind tends to drift easily and that I am usually singing a song.
I will enjoy E-Drinking with you.

My name's Rob. I'm a (non-published) writer, voracious reader, gamer; both video and non. Music lover, movie junkie, pop-culture addict and rabid collector of comics, including several by our esteemed and occasionally gracious host. Oh, and so liberal I tend to make Michael Moore look like Rush Limbaugh.

I signed up looking for motivation- or to keep myself from becoming motivated. You'll forgive me if I can't quite figure out which.

    Me, drinking

    Hello imaginary internet people.
I was born in a shopping mall in central New Jersey, where at one point I worked peddling video games like crack. In my spare time I'm a priest of Ananzi. Guinness is soul food and I'm a soul man. I have a variety of fictional alter ego's I wear in public depending on my needs, but right now you're meeting Dean Steckel, the "alpha personality."

    it's been real.
