One of the best reads out there at the moment. I had to cut back my habit and now only pick up the trades. Shame as most of the covers have been top quality.
Brian, are you thinking about putting together a cover book or a design book at some point? Even if it's something that's only available online as a PDF at wowio, I think it would be something that plenty of people would want...
I'd second that comment from Mr. Hickman. I'd love to see something like what DC put out for Dave McKean's sandman covers, but PDF would be great too. I have "Public Domain" in both formats, that books is a font of design wisdom.
Stunning work, as usual. I like the fact that you get that cover in 'layers': the shapes (in an abstract way), the symbols, and then the pure information. I also love the fact that it mixes the shape of Long Island as on a map and the outline of a body as on a crime scene -- is Long Island a crime scene? Is the outline of a body the geographical map of it? Just great. Your art work is a real inspiration.
DC would have to be the publisher of a collected book of DMZ covers, and I see such a book as quite low on their list of priorities. The other book I was talking about would be one I would do on my own, and probably not include any published DMZ work,.
