    2) The lack of ethnic minorities. Whitechapel has a huge number of Bangladeshi people living there, there are also other huge groups of immigrant, and 2nd/3rd generation immigrants. So much so I can go for days without picking up a 'White English' patient. I've not seen any evidence of this in the comic.

    We just haven't seen a lot of people yet.

    Also it's never that sunny

    Lovely opening art for the setting and final pages were full of rich facial expressions. Kudos to Paul Duffield for a particularly fantastic installment.

    I really like the last panel this episode. That image with the statement longing to know when she's supposed to die is downright eerie!

    I really liked this installment. Perhaps it's my fondness for somewhat batty characters and general weirdness.I like seeing how the characters interact with eachother and relate to one another in social settings.

    Yeah, I got kind of a Delirium vibe from our new girl, too.

    I love the leisurely pace the format allows for. Warren and Paul are really taking their time setting up the people and the environment, while still keeping things interesting. What's funny is, if, for instance, the last three episodes had been published as one 24 page comic selling for 2.99, I might have felt that not much really happened, besides characters talking (and, okay, knife to the throat). Yet here, I think it's great. It's fascinating how differently pacing works in this format.

    I guess while I'm drawing it, it's going to be my Whitechapel, which is necessarily no one else's Whitechapel, so that it can be everyone's. If that makes sense.
    Regardless though, I'd love to be able to include as much incidental detail as you mentioned, but time gets in the way of that.

    I'm having a time out until I can learn some manners.
    There was graffiti at my old house once which said "Shoot low, they're riding Shetlands", so I laughed when the guy whose rectum got Shetlanded was named Mr. Short.

    I just spent two years drawing a Texas that isn't very much like the real Texas, so I can relate, Paul.

    Arkady reminds me of three ex girlfriends sort of rolled into one person -- which makes me suspect a highly crucial plot point is going to turn on some decision she makes.

    Arkady is a great addition to the team, I love her face, and those dangling dolls! I also like the community that you're showing, bit by bit exposing the way society is being run. An exciting addition to every friday!

    Have we really been doing this for two months, now? Wow.

    Man, I loved the pacing this week. The slow reveals really made it for me.

    KK has holes in her socks. So much is revealed about her in that little detail.

    Kirk looks so sad when he looks at Arkady in the last panel on page five.

    And another vote for Delirium, which I absolutely adore. Especially the final panel.

    This episode struck me as very sweet, and a little sad. Maybe I'm projecting onto it a little bit today, but that's what I got out of it. It, uh, touched me more personally than any of the previous episodes.

    Small detail note; Did anyone else notice how bald Arkady is? It's hard not to think there's an emphisis on it as Kirk has a shaven head, all stubbly and she's clean-as-a-whistle bald...
