    This is inspired by the desk photo thread and the fact I spent a few hours today organizing my books and movies. So here is the bookcase holding the majority, though not all, of my trades (the oversized hardbacks and Absolutes are elsewhere for example).

    Ignore the law books.

    My current collection:
    DSCN4494

    Its nowhere near as large as I'd like, but it's competing with these, among other things, for priority:
    DSCN4498
    And yes, I think its time I track down another long box...

    Jtraub:

    That's a fine spread of Cerebus there. I stuck with it to the crazy, crazy end.

    JLA Earth 2 right dead in the middle, such a great bit of mean fun that book is.

    @Orwell

    I own Cerebus from issue 8 - 300 in comic form too, it was...well...one of those things. I own most of the books on the top shelf in monthly format too. All off in storage.

    Superhero geek I am, I am compelled to say: my last copy of the trade of Watchmen was destroyed from reading over 15 years. The current version is Absolute and over on my coffee table.

    @pi8you -

    Are those versions of Whiteout you have on the far right, newer editions or older ones than the trades that were released with the Frank Miller cover for the first book, and I believe Lieber's own artwork on Melt??? The spine is absolutely beautiful...

    *Looked it up myself, and they seem to be newer editions. Still, beautiful. :)

    I wonder if I'm strange in that my trades are mixed in with 'normal' books? Maybe I'm just an untidy bugger, but at least those from the same series are together.

    Nope, Reynolds, you aren't.

    I may even post a photo to prove it.

    I told someone I had posted this photo, just because we were in the middle of talking and they asked what I was doing. When they saw it they laughed; I asked them what was so funny. They said: "omg that looks like the inside of your head HAHAHAHA".)</blockquote>

    @johnmuth - yeah, they're the new ones, I'd only found out about Whiteout with last year's Free Comic Book Day offering, really wish they'd get on with the third volume already, especially with the movie in the works.

    That's all my trades as of now; they're starting to overflow, but not majorly.

    This might be a ton of shit to look at, but at least you don't have to live with it....
    And I didn't take pics of any shelves that had no GNS, TPBS, manga or comic crap.

    Purely financially enforced, I assure you. Damnit, I need a steady income again.

    And, fucking hell, I've seen small bookshops that had fewer books.
