It seems more a case that people think before they post here.
I think that the idea of looking like a fuckhead in front of Warren Ellis has more to do with it.
Canes? Arse eels? Nah, looking like a moron is much worse when someone wields the vast internets power as Ellis.
As far as the reason I like it here? The people seem to be genuinely genuine. Really real, y'know? Or at least, as real as people can be when connected through the interwubs.

The people seem to be genuinely genuine. Really real, y'know?
Well, I wouldn't go that far, but they're certainly bright and clever, and occasionally compassionate. Real is relative. Genuine is subjective.
I'd say Chris put it best:
It seems more a case that people think before they post here.

That makes people seem-- well-- thoughtful.
Correct sahs. Posted two times without thinking, sounded like a power-douche, and learned not to do so again. Shame is like swallowing broken glass soaked in battery acid.

@ Face Shrapnel - thanks for starting this thread. usually i have nothing to say, so i lurk, but still, my overwhelming sense of this place is that there is interest, there are interesting topics and interested folk about. worth coming back.
Hey, quite welcome. I think this place is full of fun and happy. Or arse eels. I forget which. Just felt that the atmosphere here needed a little noting.
Well I posted for years and years over on the Terry Brooks forum, and that was great fun while I was there. But some new moderators came aboard and the place got to the point where I literally couldn't make a fart joke without getting stomped on, so I felt my time there had finished.
I'm new here, and so far the discussions seem intelligent. I have yet to get to know anybody, but it seems like a smarter forum, which is what I need.
