But does this Ed Wood like to put on dresses?
  2.  (1741.5)
That really would have changed the tone of that video...

Or not, when I think about it...
  3.  (1741.6)
I personally think it's a bit much to refer to one's self as a 'genius'.

Oh wait; Did I say that?

    Genius

I think the video is meant tongue-in-cheek. Either that or he's the biggest moron in the world.

Either way, his movies are ignorable, whereas most of Bay's movies are so large and advertised they become abominations. Exposure vs. quality, people.

If he remakes The Birds, I will personally cut off his face.

I wonder if there were nerds in the 50s/60s who railed against Ed Wood with the same feverish intensity that we do for Uwe Boll.

I just think it's awesome that he essentially calls Michael Bay and George Clooney retards.

    1) he's half right.

    2) birds flock.

sidenote: comparing Ed Wood to Uwe Boll?

    *shudder*

it frightens me that a 21st century Tim Burton will look onHouse of the Dead with the same fondness many have for Plan 9 from Outer Space.
  4.  (1741.11)
Oh yeah, Sasha. Definitely comparable to any Kurosawa or Hitchcock film, eh?
  5.  (1741.12)
Uwe Bolle hate is the nerdiest hate of all, the he hate of a fat man with his neck beard abristle in impotent, flabby rage.

It's hate based on the fact the man makes video game movies and they aren't very good. It's hate based on the belief that if someone else had made a movie based on Dungeon Siege or House of the Dead or Bloodrayne? It would have been brilliant because these are obviously deep timeless stories that needed telling

The mans a maybe passable film maker that plays the internet hate like an instrument. Also, he punched Lowtax and made him look as if he was about to cry and that made me happy.

All that aside, Postal was kinda decent. If a little broad.

... and then you leave the rest to me.

True, Wood is better. His movies were so-bad-they're-good while Boll's are so-bad-you'd-prefer-to-watch-a-plant-grow. But I believe their megalomanias are similar.

You just haven't watched his films with director commentary on.

Honestly, it's just that I've got better stuff to do with my time than watching a terrible film for the second time, only this time with the director telling me how much he thought it rocked.

Yeah, you expect an Ed Wood movie to be bad and you just go with it.

Oh, Ed Wood was fun. "Plan Nine from Outer Space" had me laughing from start to finish. Read this. One of my favorites: "Greetings, my friend. We are all interested in the future, for that is where you and I are going to spend the rest of our lives. And remember my friend, future events such as these will affect you in the future."

Oh, and of course: "But one thing's sure. Inspector Clay is dead, murdered, and somebody's responsible."
  9.  (1741.18)
When I told my friends what I thought of HOUSE OF DEAD, I said "I think some of my brain cells died while watching that movie." Should they see it? "No I wouldn't recommend it to watch, except to show how bad it was." And "I think someone needs to track down the director and make sure he never ever watches the MATRIX movies, ever again."

However, scarily enough, now that movie holds a fond spot in my memory compared to ALONE IN THE DARK and BLOODRAYNE. Damn you, Boll, for being so car-wreck bad that we have to rubberneck (i.e. watch your latest production).

I actually had a friend in high school who didn't think Alone in the Dark was that bad. I think he liked it.
