Well, we've been open a week, and it's been interesting. And I mean that in a good way. Some honest-to-god involving and eccentric conversations, 1400 members, no freakouts and no bullshit. This is promising. And the software hasn't broken. I don't think the Bad Signal, when it finally leaked out of the broken mailing-list system, reached most of the list -- and where it did, I think it was lost in the sudden flood from the constipation-release purge the list pulled.

So we'll do a slow build.

    Glad you're all here.

Glad to be here. This has been the best forum experience I've ever had in my years on the interwubz. *knocks on wood*

Here's to our mighty overlords and masters of WhiteChapel! *pours out beers for Ariana, Warren and Paul*

Most usable and best designed forum I've ever been. And I'm having a good time.

    Cheers, old man.

A week already? I'm going to bake a small cake and put a "1" candle on the top!
Even though I mostly lurk/shallow-post, it's ever so nice here.
    Cheers to the triumvirate!

This place has already begun to eat my productivity like the Engine did not. I "credit" the software with that I think.

Thanks for building it. I know it's giving me a chance to meet and interact with some damn interesting people, so of course I'm happy to be here.

    Seconded.

    I'll say something original eventually.

I appreciate this. I've never actually been actively involved on a message board before (can you tell?). None have really piqued my interest or had anything worth reading - AT ALL. Yet, you've managed to draw a good cross-section of people who are both similar and varied.

    Well done you!

    Stoned. Ripped. Twisted. Good people.

Agreed. After all, I get to interact with the Fenris Wolf of Ragnarok.

    @ all

The ease of use, depth and breadth of interest, and general courtesy (even down right friendliness) contained in this board has created the only true feeling of community I have discovered online to date. I feel like each time I visit I can both contribute something (hopefully worthwhile) to the discussion and find people far more informed on topics to gleam useful and interesting information from and have proper and cordial discussions with.

Cheers to our gracious hosts for giving us a great place to visit when we're online! *raises a mug of beer as if toasting*

Thank you, Internet Jesus and your sleazy disciples, for offering us digital loaves and bread to give our brains sustenance!

Your real name isn't Vidar, is it? People named Vidar make me right nervous. Keep an eye out for me, will you?

First board I've really found myself getting involved in since I can't remember when. Good people, interesting stuff. Plus there was a thread about whisky going for a bit.

Agreed. This has been surprisingly intellectually stimulating, in a very broad range of topics. Most message boards are so limited in scope, but this one has a completely new concept to consider every time I come on. I wasn't expecting that :) I'm gratified by that.

No, I am not named Vidar. I am, however, rather fond of your father Loki, so I shall of course help you keep an eye out for him. We shan't allow Vidar to survive long enough to arrive at his prophesied battle with you.

    Thanks mrkvm!

Quite enjoying this place, have passed on several links/jokes/etc. to various people already.

I really really dig the format, everything you and need nothing you don't. Very nice.

    Cheers.

EDIT: Fittingly enough, while posting that the first server time out happened, haha.
