    This one is quite nifty.

@neverwanderer: those are wonderful. I love the increasingly-popular view of the apocalypse: glibly fatalistic, like we're on a huge out-of-control vehicle careening towards certain disaster and we can't do anything but laugh about it. To quote Susan Sontag:
A permanent modern scenario: apocalypse looms—and it doesn't occur. And still it looms. . . . Apocalypse is now a long-running serial: not 'Apocalypse Now', but 'Apocalypse from now on'."
Also here's another tape: nukunuku. It's, um, it's really weird.

Two I've cobbled together: - slightly heavier, crunchier things that I enjoy. - remixes I like a lot.

Just changed up the roster on mine. Have another listen!

    Some stuff I rather like.

I feel a little silly posting this as my third post, but since I've been working on it this weekend I suppose it only makes sense that it should go here.
SO- that said, I hope you enjoy. It's kind of smexy-electro-housey. I like making up genres.

    23 hours to go

Well, less, I guess. Featuring a bunch of wonderful new stuff I have nothing to do with and a couple of oldies I also have nothing to do with.

For anyone who listened to my Muxtape before, I completely changed the lineup yesterday and also changed the title:

    Apatosaurus What?!

Dead City Radio also got updated. I spent today converting my old vinyls to mp3. Thus:

A fine selection of Finnish punk/garage/psych/noise/rock/techno/etc/RAWK from the early 90's:

If the record label Bad Vugum rings any bells, you get bonus points.

Man, I feel old, but in a good way.

My roommate just found this, and it seems to work so far.

It lets you search Muxtapes for particular bands. You can also search for multiple bands at once. Now that I think about it, I'm going to try to find Muxtapes with odd combinations of bands in them: Metallica and Craig Armstrong, Morcheeba and Nickelback, Henry Rollins and U2...

    @ KPeff
thanks. the stumbler's search for "Flying Lotus" brought me to this, which I just felt the need to share. quite good.

@ KPeff: Oh, lord. I need to steer clear of that one. Although that idea of searching for combinations is appealing...

I tend to add a few songs a week to mine, and maybe every three weeks I update the whole thing. it's mainly rock, indie rock, obscure covers and the like:

Hey you guys all seem pretty knowledgeable about Muxtape. I'm having trouble getting it to accept my files. They're all MP3s... any advice? Cos I'd love to share some music on this thread!

What sort of errors are you getting?

I had problems uploading with Safari (nothing was getting through, no error messages), but after switching to using Muxtape through a Firefox variant I've had no problems.

    @ taphead :

I'm getting the message: Either your song isnt an mp3 or muxtape isnt ready for it yet.

    I'm using Firefox.

No idea what the score is. Thanks for hitting me back tho, appreciated.
