    Uh oh. Someone was using hax!


    In a seriousness, apparently the robots did have a tendency to spin out of control from time to time; doesn't sound particularly battle ready to me, but I suppose they thought they fixed it if they sent them out. Good thing they installed kill switches 'just in case they go crazy'! Maybe they thought that was sufficient.

    I'd take The Register with a grain of salt.

    Miltspec always insists on a "Halt and catch fire" command.

    I'd also check out Wired's Danger Room blog which has a post on this topic. Considering the two publications, I'd rather believe Wired.
